  • A popular beach for families. Canoeing, fishing and sailing take place here. There is a ramp for launching boats. A cafe and toilets are close by. Please see beach signs for dog restrictions.
Benllech Seaside Village
  • Benllech has an excellent beach and both the Slipway Café and Sea View Restaurant serve fine food - and after a day on the beach or a walk along the Heritage Coastal Path melt in the mouth scones are a real tea time treat!

Blackpoint Lighthouse, Penmon & Llynnon Mill, Llandeusant
  • Make the lighthouse, built in 1838, a focus for a walk. In Welsh it is known as Trwyn Du.
  • Llynnon Mill is the only working windmill in Wales. It is known as theGranary of Walesdue to the large quantities of oats and barley once grown there. The mill now operates as a working agricultural museum. It produces stone ground wholemeal organic flour.
Penrhyn Castle, Llandegai National Trust
  • Do visit this fascinating fantasy castle built with the profits from Welsh slate and Jamaican sugar.
Lligwy Beach, 4 miles from Amlwch
  • The delightful sheltered and sandy Lligwy beach is popular for families with children and dogs. It's shallow shelving makes it ideal for little ones to paddle safely. There are lots of rock pools to explore and with a cafe/ beach shop, toilets and car park all your needs are catrered for. Ynys Dulas known locally as Seal Island lies just off shore. Lligwy is a perfect place to spot seals, dolphins and porpoise.
