About Seagulls
Luxury holiday house with Hot Tub on the Menai Strait, Anglesey.
  • Contemporary, utterly stylish and set against a backdrop of truly stupendous views, Seagulls is a very special gem of a property and was recently featured on Channel 4's 'Homes by the Sea'.
  • Enjoying an enviable elevated position, this reverse level luxury holiday house will not disappoint! Built into the rocks on the water's edge, the living accommodation is upstairs and bedrooms downstairs – it is perfect for holidays with family and friends and total escapism!
  • Seagulls is set on the bank of the Menai Strait and boasts mesmerising views across the Strait to the mountains of Snowdonia, all bathed in the shimmering light from the waters below.
  • This waterside property has 2 sun-soaked decked terraces providing some of the finest views in North Wales. The floor to ceiling glass windows fill the open plan living area with natural light and give way to the beautiful views. The relaxed seating area is spacious enough for everyone to unwind and relax and the fully fitted contemporary kitchen with winning views encourages culinary inspiration.
  • There are four ground floor bedrooms, three of which are en-suite, with patio doors opening out onto the lower terrace. Beautifully furnished throughout in a modern style with large pots of olive, lemon and lime trees and walls adorned by original paintings.
  • Soak up the views on the terraces and look across to Snowdonia, Llandudno in the distance and Telford's elegant suspension bridge. Enjoy an alfresco breakfast, dinner or evening barbecues, or simply relax on the wooden loungers and watch the changing light on the water.
  • For the ultimate holiday indulgence, take the 17 steps down to relax in the hot tub below at the water's edge - a surreal experience! (N.B. Do take care, the steps down are very steep).

About The Area

Beaches

  • There are lovely beaches to enjoy throughout the island – to mention just a few:
  • Just beyond Beaumaris are three - magical White Beach, historic Penmon Beach and Lleiniog Beach which has stunning views across to the mainland.
  • Llanddona Beach a few miles northward has miles of sands, is popular with families and ideal for canoeing, fishing and sailing.
  • On the western side is Rhosneigr - sandy beaches and a great surfing destination; Cable Bay (Porth Trecastell) is particularly good for surfing with massive southerly swells; Newburough Beach and Llanddwyn Island have miles of pristine sands from LLanddwyn Island to the southern tip of Anglesey and form one of the finest beaches in Britain with dramatic mountain views, clean clear water, woods and mythology. Enjoy the little lighthouse on the island and admire the enchanting carved gate at the entrance. (Note the island is only accessible at low tide).
Beaumaris
  • Possibly the most lovely town in North Wales with a romantic castle surrounded by a moat, pretty candy-coloured Georgian and Victorian town houses and a few dating back to medieval times.
  • The town is full of lovely independent shops and restaurants. Do visit the Janet Bell Gallery which is owned by a renowned local artist and is full of lovely bric a brac.
  • Walk along the Victorian Pier to enjoy the stunning views of the Menai Strait.
Newborough Warren Nature Reserve
  • This is a birdwatcher paradise with 'hides', ideal for quiet observation, strategically placed throughout the forest, often near small lakes. Look out for red squirrels which thrive on Anglesey, the greys now having been almost completely eradicated.
Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path
  • This can be joined at Menai Bridge where the path goes under the elegant suspension bridge.  The path circles the whole island and is an ideal way to explore the diverse coastline.
Plas Newydd House and Gardens (NT)
  • A Gothic manor house in a beautiful setting right on the edge of the Menai Strait. There are gently sloping lawns, dotted with beautiful trees and shrubs and surrounded by woodlands - this is a garden to explore and enjoy. Recently renovated, the house gives a glimpse into a bygone age and the life of it’s eccentric owners.
Restaurants
  • A recently flowering of good eateries has sprung up all over the island.
  • The nearby Gazelle Hotel is an easy walk from the house and the food is good!
  • Ye Olde Bull's Head in Beaumaris, close to this property, has an excellent brasserie perfect for lunch or dinner. Upstairs is the more exclusive Loft restaurant –open only in the evenings and booking is advisable.
  • In Menai Bridge Dylan's, situated right on the Strait and close to the suspension bridge, serves locally caught fish and seafood. Located in the heart of Menai Bridge and within a historical Butcher’s Shop, the Old Butcher's offers a different dining experience to most and has recently been awarded a Michelen Star.
  • Try Marram Grass in Newborough which has made it into the 2016 Good Food Guide and is the latest foodie destination.
  • Also in Menai Bridge there is an excellent Waitrose

What a great house, what a great landscape! We had two wonderful weeks in Wales and went out every day exploring the country. It rained either in the evening or in the night. We wish we could stay another two weeks...

We got married at the end of April and we choseto come here for our honeymoon. With the added bonus of the brilliant weather I don't think I could have picked any better! The house is amazing and the views are breathtaking! We managed to get through most of the bottles of champagne we were given at the wedding! Thank you. X
Mr & Mrs Unwin & Basil
We have had a wonderful stay at Seagulls – what a treat to come through the front door and see those spectacular views! Very comfortable and we were lucky to have good weather (even during a dramatic thunder storm as it was so warm) Highly recommend a stroll along Bangor Pier and cake in the tearoom. Meghna Indian Restaurant did an excellent take away. We love Wales.

Coming through the front door and seeing that view never ceases to take our breath away. Why would you want to go abroad when there is such beauty here! Thank you so very much for a wonderful stay. We feel very privileged to have been here in a little piece of heaven.
