Why we recommend Knights Rest...

Conwy holiday cottage - new, modern and stylishly furnished home - sleeps 4

About Knights Rest
Modern Conwy holiday cottage beside Conwy Castle
  • Conwy's mighty Castle (World Heritage Site) is the dramatic backdrop to this modern Conwy holiday cottage which is set in the shadow of one of the medieval watchtowers and is within a 2 minute stroll of the heart of Conwy.
  • This delightful modern holiday cottage, one of three in a newly built terrace, has a stylishly furnished interior using muted colours - white, beige and chocolate. The open plan ground floor has zany corduroy chairs, a chocolate coloured sofa and stools for breakfast bar-top eating.
  • There is fine crisp Egyptian linen (and cotton bathrobes) in the pristine bedrooms and a small private enclosed patio with table and chairs - ideal for your outdoor dining.

About The Area
Conwy
  • Conwy is a classic medieval walled town with magnificent Conwy Castle and a fascinating high street with Britains' finest restored Elizabethan town house - Ty Mawr - as well as Aberconwy House (NT).
  • There are excellent locally owned shops including award winning butchers Edwards of Conwy for locally sourced meat, fish and game and The Secret Garden for unique gifts.
  • Lots for you to see and do - a long sandy beach for all sorts of activities, a picturesque quayside and the beautiful suspension bridge and toll house (NT) to visit.
Birdwatchers paradise
  • RSPB Conwy - wetlands at the mouth of the estuary - is a birdwatcher's paradise with a network of walkways (pushchair friendly) and a waterside coffee shop. Look out for black tailed godwits, lapwings and sedge warblers.
Llandudno
  • Llandudno (5m) is an elegant resort with traditional donkey rides and Punch and Judy shows along its sweeping sea front.
  • You will love excellent shopping on the high street where most high street chains are well represented.
  • Llandudno also boasts 2 Blue Flag beaches for all the family to enjoy
Bodnant Gardens 8 miles from modern Conwy holiday cottage
  • Bodnant Gardens, a few miles inland, is a world famous garden noted for its botanical collections, walk its terraces, lawns and wooded valleys.
  • Gardeners will love browsing (and perhaps buying some plants?) in the newly opened garden centre which offers a rare variety of plants and shrubs.
Golf Galore
  • There is a fantastic selection of local championship golf courses ranging from classic links and wooded layouts in Conwy (less than 1 mile away), Llandudno, Rhos-on-Sea and Penmaenmawr.

“Superb - a home away from home” Trip Advisor 5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012 A lovely house in a great location just by the castle walls. Very well appointed, comfortable beds, every creature comfort you could wish for. We really enjoyed our stay and will be recommending it to friends and family.

“Great Cottage and location” Trip Advisor 5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012 We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at Knights Rest in Conwy. The cottage was extremely homely which made our holiday very comfortable. The location is perfect as it is within short walking distance from Conwy High Street and yet set in a quiet private road. Would certainly recommend and return in the future.
