About The Area
Pwllhelli

Lleyn Peninsula
  • From Pwllheli the lovely Lleyn Peninsula lays ahead ready to be explored - enjoy the cliffs and beaches along one of the most remote and unspoilt coastline in Wales with spectacular views from bracken covered headlands. Look out for grey seals small colonies are established around the coastline and a wealth of sea birds.
Lleyn Peninsula Beaches
  • Lots to choose from - Abererch Beach (1 mile) is visible from the balcony - golden sands that never get crowded, Llanbedrog (NT) lovely with brightly coloured beach huts, Abersoch beach and Aberdaron whose beach is directly in front of the white washed village.
  • Morfa Nefyn with the smugglers' cove of Porthdinllaen (NT) and the famous Ty Coch pub, Whistling Sands (NT) where the sands really do whistle or just explore and find your own favourite cove.

Aberdaron
  • The 'Lands End' of North Wales - remote and beautiful - dine in the 2 hotels at the water's edge or the 'Gegin Fawr' café serving award winning crab and lobster - an ancient hostelry used by Medieval pilgrims before embarking for Bardsey Island.
Plas yn Rhiw (N.T.)
  • This beautiful manor house was restored in the 1930's by the Keating sisters and preserves a way of life long disappeared from the Lleyn countryside.
Boat Trips

Why you love Awelfryn
Glorious weather most of the week with a well designed and comfortable house to come back to. Revisited favourite places – love Llanbedrog Gallery which has changed very little in 12 years. Spotted 4 red kites over the garden and a wood pecker next door. Many thanks for the gifts.
Ms S, Lancashire
Lovely homely cottage. Thanks for the lovely gifts, had a wonderful week in this lovely part of Wales, we were fortunate to have a week of sunshine. Thank you.
Mr F, Essex
A wonderful Christmas week. Thank you for our presents plus the tree, decorations, crackers and all the things that made our Christmas special. A super bungalow, warm, well-equipped, spacious and a good location for fab beach walks.
H & J family, Rhayader, Aghnasheen & Bangkok
Lovely weather other than rain on Sunday. Had some wonderful days out on the beach. Aberdaron is a lovely place to stop for coffee and cake. Lovely bungalow and thank you for the gifts. The bag was very useful. Views from the bungalow glorious.

Mixed bag of weather but managed to fill the week with day trips and relaxing at the house. Ideal location for visiting local areas. Beautiful views from the house – all in all a lovely family holiday.

Incredibly homely and welcoming. The cottage is in a gorgeous area with stunning views. Great environment for kids and adults, loads to do around the area (Port Meirion, steam train, beaches etc.) Thank you for such a fab holiday!
Mr H, Devon
Very impressed by the cottage and views. We were let down by the very poor weather but managed to get out and visit most of the beautiful area. Thanks for the welcome pack and a lovely stay, just shame about the weather!
Mr A, Shrops
Wow! What a fantastic little cottage – felt straight at home. So thoughtful with the lovely gifts and my lovely keepsake shopping bag! Our 2 children loved it here – lots of lovely days out incl. The rabbit farm. Puffin Island cruise and Caernarfon Castle. Definitely be back to visit in the near future! Stunning views! Thank you!
