We have a selection of holiday cottages near Cwm Pennant on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, often referred to as the most beautiful valley in Wales. In the late 19th century the valley was used as a slate quarry. Footpaths now wind along the old tramway tracks. The valley remains remarkably unspoilt and now is mainly used as farmland, where indigenous Welsh Black cattle peacefully graze in the pastures. The valley is surrounded by the mountains of Nantlle Ridge, Y Garn, and the River Dwyfor tumbles through the valley on its way to the coast at Criccieth. In late spring wild Welsh poppies bloom and a sea of bluebells paint the mountainsides. At the head of the valley, there is a remote, small mountain lake which has been listed as a 'wild swimming' spot due to its deep, clear and fresh water- perfect for a quick dip after a mountain hike. Quality cottages' has a selection of rural, coastal and hillside holiday cottages within reach of Cwm Pennant, amidst the breathtaking scenery of Snowdonia National Park.
