The small coastal village of Ogmore by Sea is between the Ogmore River and Dunraven Bay on the Vale of Glamorgan coast. It's glorious, vast, unspoilt sandy beach has a large car park and is popular with surfers, families and walkers who pass by on the Glamorgan Coastal Path. Dogs are welcome all year round too. Merthyr Mawr sand dunes, Ogmore Castle, Ogmore Farm Riding Stables and Ogmore Golf Club are nearby. The ancient Pelican in Her Piety is a charming gastro pub and The Watermill is a characterful country pub on the Ewenny River both standing along Ogmore Road. Fully licensed Cobbles Kitchen with Deli is housed in an atmospheric 17th century grade II listed barn and serves breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and occasional suppers. The Three Golden Cups in nearby Southerndown has a restaurant, bar and huge beer garden.
