  • A 7 mile stretch of sands, dogs welcome all year round but in restricted areas during summer months,  the venue for the world land speed record attempts in the 30's, the pretty seaside villages of Amroth - the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path - and bustling Saundersfoot are all within a pleasant drive
Ginst Point, Pendine
  • Ginst Point is used for weapons testing and so access is limited. Weekends are usually free. Phone ahead to avoid disappointment 01944 452310. The largest concentration of birds can be seen on a sand spit at the point. Extensive scrub attracts finches and other passerines and the inland areas attract large flocks of golden plover and lapwings.
Hywel Dda Centre & Garden, Whitland
  • The only garden in Europe dedicated to law. The centre celebrates the life of Hywel Dda born in the 9th C and claimed to be the King of Wales. He created a legal system renowned for its wisdom and justice and was in force in Wales until the Act of Union in 1536.
