We have many holiday cottages located near Carn Llidi, the rocky outcrop that overlooks Whitesands Bay and St. Davids Head. Measuring approximately 594ft at its highest point, you can reach the top from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path as it passes the small bay of Porthmelgan or from a more direct route that begins just up from the Whitesands beach car park. The views from the top are spectacular, the beauty of this area even more evident from above . On one side the uninterrupted fields slope gently down towards St. Davids, you can just see the Cathedral peeking out above the valley. To the other side you can trace the craggy coastline, out towards Ramsey Island and the empty expanse of ocean. On an extremely clear day you can sometimes see the coast of Ireland on the horizon! On Carn Llidi and the rocky point of St. Davids Head there are ancient stone hut circles, megalithic burial chambers (structures made of interlocking large stone) and evidence of living & field enclosures from the British Iron Age. Our holiday cottages located by Carn Llidi have some of the most fantastic coastal and countryside views in the area.
