Why we recommend Hill Cottage...

Handsome Victorian farmhouse, perfectly placed to explore the beautiful villages, waterways and beaches of the South Pembrokeshire National Park. Pet friendly with lovely garden, outside bar and lounge, ideal for families and friends.

About Hill Cottage

Perfectly placed to explore the beautiful villages, waterways and beaches of the South Pembrokeshire National Park. Ideal for families, friends and your dog.

  • Hill cottage is a handsome Victorian former farmhouse, located in a residential area on the fringes of Haverfordwest.
  • Every aspect of this impressive property has been finished to the highest quality, from the impressive shuttered sash windows to the luxurious furniture and fittings, you will not fail to be impressed with this beautiful home.
  • Enter through the 5 bar gate into a walled garden with mature trees and shrub borders. There is parking for at least 3 cars and a large lawn, provides a safe place for young ones and pets to play - the old boat planter is a wonderful feature.
  • Open the original panelled entrance door into the elegant sitting room with deep buttoned leather furniture complimenting the heritage colour scheme, perfectly in keeping with the period style, yet light and informal, it's simply a delight!
  • This sets the scene for all the rooms in the house, from the wonderful snug with log burning stove, to the luxury kitchen and dining room overlooking the outside terrace.
  • Each of the bedrooms have been furnished with comfort in mind, from the crisp bed linen and soft throws to the calming blue and grey colour scheme, you will find it difficult to resist the temptation to stay in bed, longer than you intended.
  • When you think the interior of the house cannot be topped, Hill Cottage has a surprise in the terrace garden area that sets it apart from other properties you may have seen. End your day in style, sipping a cocktail or two from your very own outdoor bar and barbecue lounge area. Reflect on your wonderful day and this perfect stay.

Why you love Hill Cottage
Hill Cottage is such a lovely house, and so beautifully converted/restored and decorated all down to the very last detail. We’ve really enjoyed the location, allowing us quick access to St David’s in one direction and Bosherston Lily Ponds and Broad Haven South in the other – Lily Ponds are always worth a visit. Marloes Sands is also spectacular. We’d also highly recommend the boat trips around Ramsey Island – very exhilarating ! We have had a great holiday, one of the best stays in Pembrokeshire to date ...
Sylvia Ladd & family
We arrived at this heavenly home, and have spent a comfortable week. It felt like a home – full of everything you could possibly need. Beautiful colour scheme – fantastic beds/showers. And what a perfect seating area at the back – a stroke of genius. We have had the opportunity to explore an area we didn’t really know – and have visited fabulous beaches. We are sure that this is the start of great things for this wonderful house.
David Jeffs, Worcestershire
Absolutely gorgeous house – it has been done up and decorated so well – perfect ! We want to live here !! The beds are so comfy, the best night’s sleep ! Couldn’t ask for more, you have everything you could possibly need. Thank you for such an amazing visit. You have gone above and beyond with adding certain things to the house, which have made our visit so much better, e.g. speaker and board games – kids had fun with the Simpsons jigsaw puzzle – entertained for ages!
The Wilcox family, Cheshire
We have loved our week at Hill Cottage and were thrilled that it was as gorgeous in real life as the pictures on the website. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we could have wished for (and more) ! We would be quite happy to live here. It was brilliant to have a huge Tesco’s at the bottom of the road and a big playing field at the top of the road where Betty (the dog) made lots of new friends. We had great weather and we loved Newgale beach, best for dog walking and body boarding. Fab location, Fab house, Fab holiday !! We feel so lucky to have found Hill Cottage on the internet and have sent photos to loads of our friends and recommendations, fingers crossed we can come back again as we’ve had a fab time.
The White Family, Nottinghamshire
What a fantastic house ! You’ve done such a great job of the refurbishment and so much attention to detail, we have never seen a house with a bar before ! Lots of things to do for families in the area and lovely beaches, we’ve had a great week – thanks.
