This modern and spacious four bedroom house, perfect for families and friends, is set in a quiet location, just a short stroll to the beach and only minutes from the many shops and restaurants of St Davids,

About Sunnyside
Sunyside is a true home from home, perfect for families and friends. From the moment you arrive you will not fail to be impressed by this four-bedroom house, with its spacious and modern interior and sunny south facing garden.
  • Set in a quiet location, just off the High Street, Sunnyside is perfectly placed to enjoy St Davids Peninsula, right from your doorstep. The beautiful Caerfai Bay is only a short 12-minute walk, while the shops, cafes and restaurants of St Davids are only moments away.
  • If you’re feeling more energetic, walk the coastal path from Caerfai to the blue flag beach of Whitesands Bay, passing St Non’s Chapel, Poth Clais Harbour, Ramsey Island and the beautiful Porthlysgi Bay.
  • Each of Sunnyside’s rooms have been furnished to a high standard, in a relaxed and informal manner. The bedrooms are situated on both the ground and first floor, making this an ideal choice for all members of the family.
  • The real gem of this property is the large open plan living area. The luxury kitchen and breakfast bar, blends effortlessly with the dining area and lounge, perfect for entertaining all of your friends and family.
  • Extend the space further by opening the bi-fold doors to the garden and decked dining area where you can enjoy a lovely lunch or evening barbecue, following a fabulous day at the beach.
  • If it’s peace and quiet you require, then the snug room is the perfect place to bury your head in a book, or catch-up on a movie, tucked-up with your loved ones.

About The Area

Caerfai Beach and Whitesands Bay

  • A 15 minute walk leads to Caerfai Beach. This dog and family-friendly cove is perfect for sandcastles and rock pooling. A short drive will take you to the Blue Flag beach at Whitesands – popular with families and surfers alike. The café serves breakfast and evening meals in the summer season or why not enjoy a takeaway and sit on the beach to see the spectacular sunsets.

Close to St Davids shops, pubs and restaurants

  • With its splendid cathedral dating back to the 12th Century, Bishop's Palace, cafés and local produce, there is plenty to keep you occupied for days of browsing. Don't miss the country market on a Thursday between April and September. In Oriel y Parc, you will find lots of information about the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, useful maps and guidebooks as well as an art gallery and café.

St Davids Cathedral and Bishops' Palace

  • Investigate the magnificent medieval Cathedral and ruined Bishops' Palace dedicated to Wales's Patron Saint. The Cathedral is a busy church but also an international venue for music throughout the year; a memorable and rewarding place to visit. The Bishop's Palace will captivate your imagination (and your children's) and take you back to glories past.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path

  • From St Davids you can walk to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, both east and west. The cliffs are spectacular; the bird and wildlife is captivating; the sea and sky a constantly changing panorama. The Coast Path circles the Peninsula offering miles of breathtaking coastline, all within the easy reach of a two mile radius.

Coastal Shuttle Busses

  • If you would like to leave your car behind, jump onto the local coastal bus service - and travel up or down the coast. You can leave and join the bus at will and services run the length of the coastal path.

TYF Adventure Day

  • Do something a little different and get the adrenaline flowing on an adventure day out - kayaking, surfing, climbing or coasteering. Take a step into the unknown with the experienced guides at TYF (the booking shop is in the heart of St. Davids). But best of all experience it in the beautiful and rugged surroundings of the Pembrokeshire Coast.

 Solva

  • This is a pretty village with parking on the harbour-side. With the chinking of boat halyards in the background. Try Fish and Chips at '35' (next to the harbour car park) and investigate the shops - clothes and gifts, antiques, pottery and curios.  Walk along the Quay to the Café at the Yacht Club and enjoy a freshly caught crab sandwich and watch the boating activity. Make your way up to Middle Mill to visit and shop at the oldest working mill in Pembrokeshire. Colourful woven rugs and local craft of the highest quality will tempt you to take a part of Wales back home with you.
St Bride's Bay Water Taxi for Walkers
  • Solva Sailboats operate a water taxi which will take you to your chosen destination from where you can walk back along the stunning Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to Solva. Possible destinations include Porth Clais, Porthmynawydd, St Justinians, Nolton Haven and Little Haven (weather dependent). Phone 01437 720972.

Porthgain and Aberreiddy

  • A charming village with an attractive harbour. In the 18th and 19th centuries it was a flourishing seaport exporting slate and shale. Now it is a quaint harbour occupied with small fishing boats. Don’t miss the opportunity to buy crab fresh off the boat when the fishermen return. Have dinner in or out at the Sloop Inn, and enjoy some of the finest Fish and Chips at the Shed, where locally caught crab and lobster is also served. Walk along the coast path to the amazing Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy. A former slate quarry with unnaturally blue water. Look out for the seals. Simply exhilarating.

Family Days out in Pembrokeshire

  • Further south in the county there are theme parks galore with diversions for families staying in Sunnyside.  Look up Oakwood Theme Park, Bluestone, Folly Farm Zoo and Heatherton for a good mix.

Tenby South Pembrokeshire

  • Lots to see and do in Tenby at any time of the year, elegant boutiques, craft shops, museums and art galleries to browse, a large variety of eating places, pubs and ice cream parlours to tempt, boat trips, fishing, sailing, wind and kite surfing, spectacular cliff top walks and Blue Flag beaches to enjoy.

Why you love Sunnyside
We have stayed in many of your cottages over the years but this has to be the best equipped ever, down to the last detail. At the beginning of the week we had heavy showers but coming back home to the warmth and welcome of the house was another pleasure. For the rest of the week we had some warm autumn sunshine which enabled us to open wide the wonderful French windows & enjoy watching the birds in the garden munching the apples!
Rev Val Hodges & family, Newbridge Gwent
What a wonderful house in a lovely location! It really is a 'home from home' and we have had a great time! We recommend the Cathedral, the ice-cream shop, The Grove Hotel for food, The Cross Hotel for food (especially the nachos) and the lovely guy in Unsung Hero (the surf shop). Further afield, Newgale beach and the Sands Cafe (for French toast and American pancakes). We can't wait to come back and enjoy the delights of Sunnyside once again. Thank you!

Thank you so much for another great stay in St Davids ...cannot wait to come back. The cottage has been perfect - has everything we could wish for and more. Great location for coastal walks, the Cathedral, the pubs. Despite it being mid November we've managed to enjoy the sun sat out on the decking in shorts and tee's love the bi-folding doors. Will definitely return can't wait to visit the beaches in the summer.

Wow. Fabulous house - with everything provided that we needed. Beautifully appointed and comfortable, which made for a fantastic holiday. The sun shone for the entire week (IN OCTOBER) how lucky were we. We visited many places in the area, all of which have been stunning. Favourite places - Blue Lagoon and Barafundle Bay. See you again St Davids. (Definately).

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay in a 5 star house. We have been renting cottages twice a year for many years with 2 elderly mums and this is by far the best!
Helen & Lyn Brown
Thank you so much for a fabulous stay in a fabulous house. We have all had a super time - and the weather has been gorgeous. The children have enjoyed the garden but we spent most of our time down at Whitesands! We come to St Davids every year (sometimes twice!) but its the first in this house - we will definitely be back!!
The Morrows
Returned to St Davids after a break of 21 years. The house and location are perfect. We have already booked again for next year.
David, Karen, Niall and Heather
What an amazing holiday! Thank you so much. The house is perfect - location, garden, well equipped too. Weather has been wonderful - better than we expected, allowing us to spend fabulous days on the beach, walking & enjoying St Davids. Jet boat adventure around Ramsey Island was awesome! We will be back for sure!
