A wonderful holiday! Weather superb and the cottage was cosy and well equipped. Lots to do and see:- Dinas Head walk, Boat ride round Ramsey Island to see seals and pups, Watching the sun setting at Strumble lighthouse and the surprise event of a pop of harbour poproise swimming by. Magical! "The Shed" at Porthgain for v good fish and chips. + much, much more.
The Humphries family, Yorkshire
Thanks for the warm welcome and comforts of Trefechan Wen. We and the dogs had a wonderful time exploring the area, especially the beach at Newport which made a perfect racetrack for two whippets. An amazing find was The Ship Inn at Lower Town, Fishguard. If you like a warm welcome for yourselves and dogs into an old fashioned village pub, try here. Beware though - no food, its a proper pub. Thanks again for a wonderful week.
The Stopgate Family
Thank-you for a lovely relaxing week. The cottage is so homely and well equipped we have wanted for nothing! Fantastic views at Strumble Head. Quiet beach good for dogs - visit Aber Mawr. St David's - well worth the trip even with dogs as you can walk to 'dog friendly beach'. Local walks from the door are great to discover more about the location. Really enjoyed our week.
The Coughlin Family
Another great holiday at Trefechan Wen. We visited all our usual haunts - and a few more besides. Whenever you retrun there is always something new to find. That's why we love Wales - so much to do.
The Jackson Family
Had a wonderful week in a great cottage! Lovely tranquil spot but in easy reach of all we wanted. Wonderful weather all week and spent a lot of time exploring the amazing beaches, Newport beach being a favourite. Would recommend the Thousand Islands trip (whales and Dolphins).
The Knight family, Bridgend
We spent a great, relaxing and amazing time in your lovely and warm cottage. Our highlights were: Dinas Head walk; Boat trip around Ramsey Island; Strumble Head walk; Blue lagoon close to Abereiddy; Porthgain "The Sloop Inn"; And the coast nearby the cottage. We had great luck with the weather and have seen a lot of seabirds, seals and dolphins.
The Steinkohl family, Munich
This is our first time holidaying in Pembrokeshire and we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The beaches and rugged nature walks are second to none. We lost count of the beaches and coves we explored throughout the week. The Fishguard show topped off our week splendidly. A very friendly and welcoming area, we will definitely return in the future.
The Birt family
Wonderful cottage and perfect setting. So fortunate with the weather, only one day of rain. Lots of walking, fresh air and sunshine. Perfect Break. Would definitely recommend.
The Newmans, Southhampton
Don't want to go home tomorrow! Such a lovely, comfortable cottage. Our little girl has loved it, especially charging around the garden with the dog and going out every morning to see the horses. Highly recommended Dyfed Shire Horse Centre whether wet or sunny. Bay To Remember is a must - fabulous dolphin watching trips. We saw two calves. Mwnt Bay in Cardigan is beautiful and you can dolphin watch from a little peak there too. Dangerously close to Melin Tregwynt Mill. Perfect week.
Tamsin, Craig, Hazel and Brecon
Thank-you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us and making us feel so welcome. So relaxing and the dogs loved the garden. Newport Beach was lovely for the dogs, Solva is beautiful. Lovely coastal path walks, Strumble Head lovely views. Wolfscastle food is excellent. Also the Old Sailors at Dinas is great to eat and exercise the dogs on the beach there. The cottage is so cosy and warm everything you need and more.
The Moore Family
We walked with Pip the dog Through sunshine, wind and fog. We strolled along to Strumble Taking great care not to stumble We popped to Poppit Sands Leaving pawprints on the strand. At Porthgain we were well fed In a place they call 'The Shed'. We love Trefechan Wen And dearly hope to come again!
The Maxwell Family
Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. We have been out and about every day, to the beach, into the beautiful countryside. Dogs have loved it.
The Watts family, Milton Keynes
What an amazing holiday we've had at Trefechan wen. We were blown away by the coastal walk around Strumble Head and were so lucky to have spotted two seals at Seal Beach. Poppit Sands and Whitesands were fab beaches, the boys loved going into the waves and rock pools. We caught so many crabs.
The Lewis family, Newport
What a splendid cottage in a lovely setting. Thank-you for the tips on where to spot seals; we walked from the cottage to the coast and spotted some where you said we might. Thank-you also for the suggestion of Aber Mawr beach; we had a lovely afternoon there. We loved the tapas and sea view at Bar 5 in Fishguard. Our other recommendation is for 'Bay to Remember' wildlife boat trips based in Cardigan. They use small boats so everyone has a good view. We saw lots of dolphins, seals, three kinds of jelly fish, as well as various types of sea bird.
The Wright family, Oxfordshire
Fantastic Cottage. Felt relaxed straight away. Traveled up and down the coast. Loved Solva.
The Twiselton Family, Gloucestershire
We had a very enjoyable stay in this delightful cottage. It has been a very relaxing week for us and our two dogs. Especially relaxing in the garden in the evening to enjoy the late evening sunshine. We have enjoyed walking as usual. It is such a beautiful coastline.
The Collins Family, Cheshire
Our first time here, and it has been wonderful. The walks from the cottage are great. Also did Pentre Ifan, Dinas Island and the Porthgain to Abereiddy loop. The last one gives you the chance to stop at The Shed for fish and chips (which were amazing). Both of the dogs loved the cottage and the walks.
The Moores, Swansea
