About The Area

Trefin

  • From the door of the cottage walk along Trefin's main street, to the village pub, The rustic Ship Inn, good for bar meals at lunchtime and early evenings. The village also has a great cafe, Mill House, perfect for a cooked breakfast or packed lunch for a day's walking.
  • Aber Felin - a pretty shingle cove with rock pools, overlooked by the remains of Trefin Mill - is a five minute walk.
Join the Pembrokeshire Coast Path
  • From here the Pembrokeshire Coast Path stretches in either direction. To the east the small harbour at Abercastle is popular for diving, swimming, kayaking and fishing - and to the west is the unique harbour at Porthgain with the Sloop Inn and award winning 'Shed' Bistro.
Strumble Shuttle Coastal Bus Service for walkers
  • The popular Strumble Shuttle Coastal Bus Service, intended for transporting coast path walkers, stops in Trefin 3 times a day between May & September and twice daily from September to May on its way from Newport to St Davids.
St Davids Peninsula Beaches
  • With over a dozen beaches to explore on the St Davids Peninsula, Traeth Llyfn and Abereiddi are the closest but if you like to surf you will enjoy the wide sandy expanses of Whitesands and Newgale.
Melin Tregwynt Mill
  • A short drive up the coast near to the sand and shingle beaches of Aberbach and Abermawr, is the famous Melin Tregwynt where a huge selection of woollen goods are made to compliment the mill's unique fabrics. Stop a while and enjoy a lunch or cake and coffee at the café.
St Davids Cathedral City
  • St Davids Cathedral City, a ten minute drive away, has a useful range of amenities - banks and post office, internet cafe, supermarket and filling station, chemist, doctor and vet. There are also interesting independent shops, galleries, restaurants, cafes and pubs.
The Medieval St Davids Bishops' Palace
  • Bring your children to explore the wonderful ruined St Davids Bishops Palace or if you are interested in culture there is an annual festival of Shakespeare plays at the Bishop's Palace and a continuous programme of music to be heard in the magnificent medieval St Davids Cathedral.

Ramsey Island Boat Trips

  • Book a boat trip whilst in St Davids around the famous bird islands - either a fast adrenalin ride or a more sedate one - but an experience not to be missed - your dogs are welcome too!

Why you love Ty Draw

Mr and Mrs Harrison Bell
A lovely cottage, really well refurbished with everything we needed - a real home form home.We had a great xmas here.
Mr and Mrs Ogonovosky
We really enjoyed our stay at Ty Draw, it is beautifully decorated to a high standard and so much space (downstairs especially). This was our first visit to the area and we weren't disappointed. There are lots of beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches within walking distance and some lovely coastal walks we will try when our children are older. The only 'negative' if you can call it that, is the second bedroom is very small, we found it a squeeze. We are already planning our next trip and will definitely stay at Ty Draw again, we had a wonderful stay and it was extremely well equipped, we have stayed in many cottages and this was by far one of the best. The village is beautiful with a nice pub within walking distance which was child friendly. Very friendly and welcoming locals. Thank you and hope to see you again soon!
Jones party
We had a relaxing week in what is a beautiful cottage in one of our favourite parts of the world. The cottage is tastefully decorated and to a high standard
Mr and Mrs Garner
This cottage is not well represented on the internet. We liked what we saw enough to book it, but when we arrived and actually saw it, it was far lovelier than we had envisaged. It is absolutely beautiful - we would like to pick it up and take it home. The decor is tasteful - so clever the way the kitchen and breakfast area have been redesigned - we were delighted to be in such a lovely place, the black and white kitchen was the best.
Mr and Mrs Neal
Ty draw! magical place - the Jones' have made this a home from home. Very comfortable, and very special.
