About this cottage:
- This traditional waterfront house is set in a quiet lane running along the banks of the Haven with wonderful panoramic views of the waterway, the ebb and flow of the tide and the constant motion of boats and birdlife. A spacious and comfortable family house, with an enclosed garden ideal for barbeques, a patio with the remains of an original lime kiln and terraces (care with small children) offering lawn and fruit trees, a variety of delicious smelling pine trees and a secluded summerhouse looking out over the Haven, from which to watch the world go by.
- It is a short walk to the village pub, the shop and the marina. Neyland has two supermarkets (one with a post office and cash dispensing facilities) and there is a butchers shop, chemist and petrol station. Ty Hafan is a perfect base from which to enjoy the delights of Pembrokeshire - south and north.
- A short drive away are many of the county’s wonderful beaches - over the bridge to the south, Freshwater East, Barafundle and Broad Haven South or west to the Dale peninsula and the beaches of St Brides Bay.
- Visit the medieval castles at Pembroke or Manorbier, the lily ponds at Bosherston or the remarkable chapel in the rock at St Govan’s Head.
- A variety of boat trips are available to the rugged islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm from Neyland Marina and Martins Haven.
- Learn to sail or canoe at the nearby Pembrokeshire Activity Centre or one of the other excellent activity centres to which Pembrokeshire is home.
- Within strolling distance this first floor restaurant with commanding views of the river Cleddau and Neyland Marina changes its menu daily with a strong emphasis on delicious freshly caught fish, sea food and local produce.
- Do enjoy a few hours exploring 35 acres of charming parkland including arboretum, formal gardens, walled garden and medieval chapel in the grounds of little Upton Castle near Carew
- Keen golfers will love this beautiful scenic countryside course. The club has an integral grass airstrip to welcome visitors from all over the country and promotes a 'Golf for All' policy. The course has mature trees and some rather tricky ponds which love eating golf balls.
- Pamper yourself with soothing treatments & therapies, pool, whirlpool bath, sauna, gym, slendertone & aerobics, tennis.
- Experience the thrill of ultimate 4x4 and JCB driving. Training courses, recreational days and taster sessions. Learn how to drive correctly off road with a 4x4 whilst still being considerate for the countryside.
- There is a huge choice of quality family attractions and activities to keep families entertained for whole days at a time within easy driving distance. Folly Farm, Begelly, Manor House Wildlife Park, St Florence, Dinosaur Park, Tenby, Heatherton Sports Park, Tenby, Blue Lagoon Water Park near Narberth.
- The bustling little town of Narberth has grown to become the Arts & Crafts capital of Pembrokeshire. The shops are very individual selling products such as fine art, antiques and fine food. There is a large car park, several good pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Queens Hall is one of the best entertainment venues in west Wales.
- Daily surfing lessons for beginners & improvers by qualified instructors along Newgale's glorious 2 mile stretch of golden sands & surf. Kite lessons also available. Facilities include surf shop, equipment hire, changing rooms and hot showers.
- Power boats and sailing tuition for all ages by RYA qualified staff. A typical course is 2 days and explores the upper reaches of the Haven on the first day. The second day often takes you out to the Heads to see the swell and experience rougher conditions.
