Milford Haven and its Marina

  • Just a 5 minute walk from this Pembrokeshire waterfront holiday apartment is Milford Haven's Marina. Once a commercial quayside there are now cafés, restaurants and smart shops, with a ten pin bowling alley and an indoor play area on the western side of the marina. It makes for a perfect time to while away the days watching the Marina's activity or enjoying a coffee In one of the many smart cafés. Stop for lunch at Foam and enjoy a Sharing Board and a glass of wine, or how about Afternoon Tea with finger sandwiches, warm scones and a glass of bubbles.
  • Eat a fish and chips supper in Gordon Bennett's traditional fish and chips restaurant in the very location where fish was once landed daily when Milford Haven was still a thriving fishing port.
  • Sailing is a popular pastime in Milford Haven the marina and all its support services replace the once massive fishing fleet. The seafaring history of Milford Haven can also be seen in the local museum, housed in one of the oldest buildings in the town - the old whale oil storage building built in 1797.
  • The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs through Milford Haven as it skirts the edge of the Milford Haven Waterway. Highlights in the vicinity include Lindsway Bay and Sandy Haven.

Milford Haven Golf Club

  • Just a 10 minute drive from the Apartment is the Milford Haven Golf Club - with a warm and welcoming club house serving excellent food and a challenging 18 hole course with panoramic views over the Haven Waterway. The Club welcomes prospective members and visitors alike - whatever your level of skill.

Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre

  • Housed in a unique 1850's gun tower beside the bustling Haven Waterway the centre tells the story of Wales' only Royal Naval Dockyard which built 260 ships including 5 royal yachts. Well worth a visit.

Flying Boat Centre, Pembroke Dock

  • Dedicated to recovering the only Mark 1 Sunderland left in the world, currently lying on the seabed of the Haven Waterway. The workshop and interpretation centre tell the story of Pembroke Dock's unique naval, military and aviation history.

Narberth Market Town

  • Shopaholics will love Narberth, well worth the half hour drive. A vibrant old market town full of interesting and unusual shops, antiques, crafts, cafes, bars and restaurants. UltraComedia is a deli specialising in Welsh & Spanish produce where you can enjoy coffee, cakes, delicious tapas too.

Dale Peninsula

  • Magnificent coastal walking with spectacular views of the Milford Haven Waterway and the Irish sea. Wild flowers and wildlife abound. Watch ships entering and leaving the haven, walk around old St Ann's Head lighthouse, beach comb on West Dale and enjoy refreshments in the Griffin Inn at Dale.

Boat Trips to the Bird Islands

  • Trip boats leave from Martins Haven to visit the off shore bird islands of Skomer and Skolkholm. You will almost certainly see seals and dolphins too. Remember your camera and binoculars.

Bosherston Lily Ponds (N.T.)

  • Take a walk around Bosherston's beautiful lily ponds, a breathtaking sight when the lilies are in full bloom during June and July.  This is a wild life haven all year round and you may even be lucky enough to spot an Otter going about its daily chores. 

Bosherston Village

  • No visit to this small village is complete without tea at ‘The Olde Worlde Café’. Owned and run by Aunty Vi - a true local legend, with a café menu unchanged for over 70 years – perhaps the best Welsh Rarebit to be found anywhere and lovely cakes too! 

  • There is also a a pub, St Govans’s Inn (good bar food) and 2 miles to the south, nestled between the steep cliffs of the south Pembrokeshire coastline is St Govan’s Chapel which is free to visit, although the only access is down steep steps carved into the side of the cliff. Count the number of steps down – tradition has it that it will be a different count on the return climb!


  • This is truly the jewel in South Pembrokeshire’s coastline with its 3 blue flag beaches, interesting gift, craft and bric a brac shops, restaurants, pubs and Tudor Merchants House (N.T.) – a fascinating glimpse into times gone by.  Book a boat trip from its picturesque harbour  to the famous monastic island of Caldy – a truly lovely relaxing day out for all the family.

Stylishly well-appointed with fantastic water views and bi-folding doors leading out on to the balcony area. 1 twin bedroom with 2 single beds, plenty of storage and TV. Cot available. All on the Second Floor.

Kitchen Enjoying wonderful views, this luxury, fully fitted kitchen has an electric halogen hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer. Diner style area to seat 3, TV, microwave and a door out onto the balcony area.  

Dining/Sitting Room open plan with table and chairs to seat 6, Highchair available.  Sitting area with Bi-Folding doors onto the balcony and lovely views across the Haven Waterway, leather sofa to seat 3, 2 reclining leather armchairs, coffee table. FreeSat digital Smart TV, with dvd/cd radio, selection of videos and games.

Amazing apartment - one of the best we have ever stayed in. Good location for exploring the county. Highlights for us have been coastal walks from Dale round the peninsula, the beautiful ponds at Bosherston and the stretch between St Davids and Solva. Tenby also well worth a trip if the weather poor. Finally no-one has mentioned Halen Mor which is a fantastic restaurant in the marina. Quality food at a decent price.
