Three August days of quality jazz played by musicians from all over the world in clubs, pubs and ven
Immerse yourselves in three days from early to late of quality jazz played by musicians from all over the world in clubs, pubs and venues spilling out onto the pretty streets and beautiful parks of Brecon. Brecon Jazz Festival was first staged in 1984 on a budget of £100. It was a local initiative by the people of Brecon to increase the "arts" for this small Welsh Market Town. George Melley, who had a house close by, was invited to perform.
Apart from the main festival, the Brecon Fringe Festival also offers alternative acts in pubs, hotels, galleries, cafes and other venues in the town. A free guide to Fringe events is available throughout Brecon over the festival and Brecon Fringe Festival now attracts visitors in its own right. Choose from a selection of Brecon Beacons cottages to rent in August for the festival.
