Llandovery Sheep Festival in September celebrates droving, sheep farming and the wool industry with

The historic Carmarthenshire market town of Llandovery on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons hosts an annual family friendly Sheep Festival every September. It might sound a bit woolly but there is plenty of exciting entertainment laid on to celebrate droving, sheep farming and the wool industry including local arts, crafts, history, music, food and drink. Traditional crafts such as spinning, knitting and shearing will be demonstrated. Sheep dogs are put through their paces showing off their incredible intelligence and skills. The wool sack race which takes place through the streets is a test of strength and endurance. There is children's entertainment, street theatre, choirs and so much more.
