Perfectly adequate as a small cottage with everything there one could possibly want. It was beautifully clean. The wet shower room was fine - not to everyone's taste I am sure, but for a week on holiday, it was absolutely fine. It was a good location for visiting lots of lovely places within a short drive.

The cottage was very tiny but we knew that when we booked it. It was very welcoming with flowers, wine, milk and welsh cakes. Also it was warm to go in to. The kitchen was well equipped and lacked only a dishwasher unfortunately. We thought a slimline could be fitted in. The bed was comfortable and the sitting room was cosy and well fitted out. On the down side - the heating was hard to control, it does not keep up with the varying temperatures and the wetroom required underfloor heating to dry out the floor after showering and a complete refit. Perhaps the facility to dry towels properly too. We had a good week's holiday here and the outside is perfect for dogs.

nice comfortable well equipped cottage

R Twist - 29th June 2018

This property could be absolutely stunning and there were so many things to like about it: it was comfortable, clean and well equipped. And lovely to have all that space outside. It was a bit alarming on arrival to have heavy traffic rumbling past just the other side of the hedge but it was quiet at night and so didn't cause any disturbance. But the downside was the terrible "wet room". This was so off-putting: because the floor was permanently wet, we ended up putting newspaper down to try and avoid paddling about. I'm not sure it would pass a safety inspection - the electric towel rail was exposed to shower spray for example. It really knocked the edge off what would otherwise have been a 5 star holiday let. My one other gripe was the late arrival time - 4.30 pm - and the early departure 9.30 (that was the time given for the cleaners' arrival in the comments book). Appreciate that there was a lot of grass to cut outside but the cottage itself could have been turned round in less than seven hours. We ended up going home the night before partly because we couldn't face getting up at dawn to pack up and partly because we were desperate to get back to our shower ...

Thank you for your review  We are very sorry that you left a day early and will be speaking to the owner regarding the set up of the wet room and the safety side of things. If we could kindly draw your attention to our website  which does mention the size of the bed and our directions do inform you of the mobile signal situation although this is after payment has been received.  The arrival and departure times are also set out in the directions (departure time is 10am) and we do advise guests that earlier/later times may be available by contacting the owner direct prior to arriving.  Thank you for your valuable feedback

Many thanks for the response. Just to be pernickety, your website states that it is a "double bedroom" - this means that it sleeps two people. After all, if it was a super king size bed would you say it is a super king size bedroom? No - you'd say that it slept two and had a super king size bed. So to say it is a double bedroom does not define the actual bed size. The confirmation details do state 10.00 am departure but the visitor's book said the cleaners came between 9.30 to 10.30. What do you go with? We didn't want a situation where there were people waiting on the doorstep for us to move out. I did acknowledge that your general property description states that mobile coverage can be patchy (which applies to pretty much anywhere really) but the point I was making was that you should be advised of a complete lack of mobile signal before making a booking. It's a bit late once you've paid - but you do acknowledge this is the situation in your response. The wet room seems to have been an issue for quite a lot of previous visitors judging from comments left in the visitors book. It would be great if it could be improved.
