Guest Book Comments

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved Upper Castlewright Cottage - well equipped, packed with interesting features and all modern conveniences. We were toasty warm and very comfortable despite bitterly cold winds and snow flurries. We visited lovely old market towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow. Yarborough House in Bishop's Castle, just down the road, has a wealth of second hand books and records and serves coffee and cakes, even on Sundays. We had a delicious lunch at The Bottle & Glass in Picklescott - an interesting drive through beautiful countryside.

We love the cottage – home from home. Fantastically equipped in such a beautiful environment. We drank wine the Summer House looking at the wonderful view, accompanied by a herd of sheep. We have stayed in several holiday cottages and yours is the best and most comfortable.

We have rented many holiday cottages and regard Upper Castlewright as being one of the best. Dobby, our labradoodle, says thank you too.

Just to say thank you. The cottage is superb – much nicer than the photos suggest. Fantastic walks. We will return.

Repeating myself here as mentioned this in first part of review. Unfortunately not a quality cottage. Had not been cleaned properly before our arrival. Cooker & sink was in a flthy state. The Downstairs shower was covered in limescale. Generally not of astandard we have experienced elsewhere.

Property Description
Welsh Border holiday cottage with stunning views, Mid Wales Border Country Pet friendly
