5 Star Anglesey cottage with luxurious 6 seater hot tub near Red Wharf Bay. (please call us to add the hot tub to your booking)

  • Farrier's Cottage, situated close to Red Wharf Bay and Benllech, ticks all the boxes - wheelchair friendly and 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome too!
  • The caring owners have thoughtfully renovated this cottage which is beautifully presented throughout with pretty touches everywhere. As an added touch of luxury relax at the end of a day of strenuous holidaying in a haze of hot tub bubbles! (Please note: Hot Tub, £150 per week, seats 6 - call us to add the Hot Tub to your booking).
  • Tucked away down a country lane, it is truly a little gem. Lovely interiors with a stylish contemporary country living room, comfortable seating, large flat screen TV, multi-fuel stove, pale grey walls adorned with Parisian Art, deep set cottage windows, draped in Natural Highland Check with matching soft furnishings.
  • Next to the charming kitchen is the dining room, with luxury pale taupe and cream units and delicate pale grey walls.
  • The ground floor is wheelchair friendly with a bedroom and adjoining en-suite wet room, perfect for guests with mobility issues. There are two more bedrooms on the first floor and all three bedrooms having kingsize beds.
  • 1st floor bedrooms share a bathroom. On the landing area there is a desk and computer for guests who can't resist the odd computer game or email!
  • All bedrooms and the kitchen have flat-screen televisions. Bose radio and play station 4 available for your enjoyment.
  • A fully enclosed rear garden has a patio area and stylish garden dining tables and chairs - perfect for al fresco meals. There is a patio and a small lawn with planted borders and surrounding mature trees - a restful spot for relaxing
  • Approximately half a mile away is a pub, The Panton Arms -open early till late - and opposite is a well-stocked local Spar and petrol station.

Bathroom with full suite, shower over bath on 1st floor.

Kitchen/Dining Room luxury units, split level electric oven and halogen hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, extra freezer in the shed, washing machine, table and chairs seating 6, flat- screen TV.

Sitting Room stylish & contemporary 2 x three seater leather sofas, a stressless leather recliner, footstool, lamp tables, sideboard with board games, glass-fronted bureau with books and dvds.Cosy multi fuel log burner and flat screen tv/dvd, Bose radio and play station.

  • Popular Red Wharf Bay is only 2 miles from the cottage and the resort of Benllech only 3 miles. Benllech has a long sandy beach with plenty of rock pools, perfect for swimming, windsurfing and sea fishing. Lovely views across to Penmon Point and in the distance the Great Orme in Llandudno.
  • Further along the coast, just beyond the delightful little fishing village of Moelfre, is Treath Lligwy another shallow sandy bay - great for small children who will enjoy pottering in the rock pools.

Coastal Path

  • The Coastal Path circles the coastline and is designated 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.' The path passes cliffs, sandy beaches, majestic woodlands, marshes and grasslands. Explore hidden coves and watch seals frolicking in the water's below.

LLanddwyn Island and Newborough Beach

  • Miles of pristine sands stretch from Llanddwyn Island ( to the southern tip of Anglesey and is one of the finest beaches in Britain - dramatic mountain views, clean clear waters, woods and mythology.
  • Llanddwyn Island, just 1 km long, is a 20 minute walk along beach from the car park. The island delights, wiht the sound and taste of the sea and the smell of the beautifully carved pine gates. Wander through Newborough Forest, a birdwatchers paradise with hides for quiet viewing of the abundant bird life - look out for the colony of red squirrels that flourish on Anglesey.

Porth Eilian

  • Near Amlwch, this small romantic sandy bay is a hidden gem reached by a walk from the car park. Topped by rugged cliffs covered in gorse, bracken and oak trees the bay is Ideal for swimming in the shallows. Join the Coastal Path here and look out for Oystercatchers, Razorbills and guillemots.

  • Nearby in Red Wharf and Benllech is 1924 Tafarn, The Boathouse Restaurant and The Ship Inn, The Coast American Diner is in Benllech as well as lots of excellent restaurants throughout Anglesey. Marram Grass Caf in Newborough made it into the Good Food Guide this year, In Menai Bridge Dylan's on the quayside is recommended and Ye Olde Bulle's Head in Beaumaris is superb.

Din Lligwy

  • This is a 4th Century enclosure reached by a half a mile walk across fields. This settlement of round and rectangular huts is deeply atmospheric with remarkably well preserved stone huts. Occupied, it is thought in the late Roman period, it is well worth a visit - both children and grown ups will be fascinated and entranced by them.

Plas Newydd House & Gardens (NT)

  • The gardens of the Manor House descend to the stunning Menai Strait with views across the the wooded hillsides and mountains of Snowdonia - a unique location. Explore the extensive grounds and fascinating house, the ancestral home of the Marquess of Anglesey.
  • This Regency period house has an interesting history, large murals by Rex Whistler adorn the walls of the formal rooms and there is a museum displaying uniforms and memorabilia from the battle of Waterloo.

Boat Trips

  • From Menai Bridge or Beaumaris a boat trip will take you along the magnificent Menai Strait under two famous bridges, Thomas Telfords's elegant suspension bridge and Robert Stephenson's mighty two tiered Britannia Bridge, with railway and road. great feats of Victorian engineering.


  • Surely the prettiest town in North Wales with its elegant Georgian and Victorian town houses While away some time visiting its romantic castle, lovely independent shops and Victorian pier.
