Fabulous 400 year old cottage, oozing character and in peaceful location but just one mile from Beaumaris.
Beautiful cottage. Really comfortable and it had everything we needed. Super location which felt it was really rural but so close to the town.
The Old Smithy was outstanding and a real home from home with every creature comfort you could want. Definitely one of the best holiday cottages we've stayed at. Set in a quiet setting just away from Beaumaris and in easy drive of many beautiful coastal walks. And most importantly dog friendly with a beautiful secure garden.
Lovely cottage thoughtfully restored and updated where required. Very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay and only a short walk into Beaumaris.
The cottage was exactly what we were looking for to enjoy a winter break. Warm, extremely comfortable sofas and beds and everything in the kitchen worked.Great area for walking and Beaumaris provided a number of good eating places. The only downside was the lighting in the sitting room. Great for mood but not for reading!

If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at The Old Smithy (1811).
Wow, stunning and breath-taking. Had an absolutely amazing time with my siblings. The accommodation was fantastic and in an idyllic spot. We will be back. Thank you so much.
This lovely cottage is in an idyllic setting and perfect for a relaxing break in the sun. We have enjoyed a wonderful week, walking and visiting some very interesting places and there are very many more to explore. We appreciate how well equipped this cottage is and especially Stuarts telephone call on Tuesday to hear that all was well. Many thanks.
Thank you. We had a lovely time in your amazing house. It really is something else! This countryside is just gorgeous , especially at this time of year. Just loved it all.
A wonderful home- the perfect place for a warm, cosy joint 35th/ 70th birthday weekend. Bitterey cold weather – the tail end of storm Emma but the Smithy was so comfortable, spacious and so interesting in terms of history and architecture. Managed to get some terrific coastal walking in and good birdwatching – black guillemots being the highlight. Thanks for all your help, we hope to be back.
A wonderful week! A family get together in a relaxing well appointed cottage. It certainly lives up to its billing and is faultlessly well equipped. Thanks to all for a much needed relaxing break. We will be back I am sure.
