The cottage was is a beautiful place and was almost perfect just a couple of major niggles. It was a little dirty, lots of dust under chairs and in corners. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the mattresses need replacing and some essential electrical items missing. In order of important:-Hairdryer!!!Dishwasher!!Freezer.

Thank you for your review, we will forward it onto the owner and get back to you.

From the owner:- Thank you for your review which we were a little surprised to receive as we agreed you could arrive over 2 hours before the official arrival time and you left a note to say ' lovely warm cottage but sadly these pillows were uncomfortable', no other comments were made regarding the cleanliness or the mattresses. There are two double beds - one double bed which you had not used has a new mattress and the other is of good quality. With regard to the missing electrical items, there is no mention of either a dishwasher or freezer at the property on the website. And other guests have consistently commented on how clean the property is so we were very surprised by this comment.

Reply from: Quality Cottages Team

I'm sorry, you appear to have confused us with someone else. We did not arrive early or arrange to do so and left no note. We used both the double beds in an attempt to find a comfortable one. I agree the second one was more comfortable. I also agree I was aware that there was no freezer, and it was my decision to book it anyway, it was third on the list for that reason, it was just a passing comment because I found the lack of a hairdryer so very inconvenient. As to the cleanliness, I can only speak as I found it on the day. I found cobwebs in corners and dust under furniture; I only found this as my dog's toy went under the settee and I dropped something off the bedroom chair and had to go under to retrieve it, I didn't carry out a "white glove test" and go looking for dust. This honest review was just constructive criticism in order to help you get it right next time, I thought that was the point of the survey! Whilst I accept you might be a little annoyed you really should see it for what it is; other people have mentioned the mattress in their appraisals. Looking back on my review I can see the I should have majored on the fact that we had a fabulous time and that we didn't want to come home, and the constructive criticism was just that, a niggle! However, it's done now. I would have booked this cottage again. as it was lovely but now feel I can't now! QUALITY COTTAGES: I WILL NEVER WRITE ANOTHER REVIEW.

Quality Cottages: I'm just unhappy that I appear to have upset the owners which I never intended to do.

Pant y corn is in a very peaceful location however the road leading up to it is single track and the hedgerows were overgrown making it a little difficult in places . The cottage itself was presented very well with fresh flowers a lovely touch and welcome pack. Very comfortable and clean. No freezer only icebox in small fridge not very practical for self catering. Visitor book would be useful for information from other holidaymakers about places to visit . On a positive note the garden was very peaceful to relax in and we enjoyed our stay at pant y corn.
