What a fantastic cottage - everything has been thought of. So spacious and comfortable. The owners obviously really care about making sure guests have a great stay.

Fabulous cottage in a beautiful part of Anglesey. Each morning walking the dog and looking at the fantastic view of Snowdon - who could ask for more? We rent cottages several times a year and don't normally return to the same one twice but we will return to this one time and time again.

Gwel y Rhos cottage has everything you could possibly want. Weather was a little unkind to us but returning to this snug cottage each night more than made up for it.

This is one of the best places we have stayed in and we rent cottages 2 to 3 times per year. The weather has been pretty good considering the summer we are having! The area is wonderful with so much to see and do, we need to come back again. We have been so happy and comfortable in this cottage, we will come back again if we can. We recommend Hootons Farm shop along the road for great food to eat in and take home to cook at home. Great cakes!

Excellent accommodation, spacious, modern & well equipped. Probably one of the best we have stayed in! Thoroughly enjoyed exploring the coastal paths and forests and beautiful beaches. National Trust properties and castles. Two members of our party climbed Snowdon for Cancer Research.

Had a lovely week in the cottage and enjoyed our stay, very restful & peaceful. A couple of rainy days - but the rest of the week was good sunshine. Enjoyed the company of the RAF planes this week. All round a much enjoyed week and lovely cottage. We will be back.

We have stayed in many holiday cottages but this is without doubt the best. The quality of the furnishings and care that has been put in is obvious. Little extras like the Wifi, tea & coffee are great. Sitting on the patio with a glass of wine - what more could we want. We all loved it and were so sad to leave. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

Our first visit to Anglesey and it will not be our last. From the fantastic Gwel Y Rhos to the great beaches and walks. The cottage was beautiful and spacious. We have stayed in cottages throughout the UK and this was definitely one of the best.

Another great stay at Gwel y Rhos. Not the best weather this time but that did not stop us! Lovely cottage to come back to each day. Owner had advised us to bring a torch and we are glad we did - we had forgotten just how dark it gets when there are no street lights! We struggled a bit to get the woodburner going but once we did it was lovely. See you again next year.

Very clean, warm and cosy. Superb location, setting and property. Hope to return. One of the best places I have stayed on Anglesey and I have been many times. No traffic noise even heard the owls at night.

Sorry wrote in the wrong box but Iwas very disappointed with the property. My expectations were not realised. But we did not let it spoil our holiday.

Thank you for your feedback. Your comments have been forwarded onto the owner and would expect the problems with the wardrobe and loo roll to be rectified. Looking at the website there are a couple of photos showing the exterior but we will look into adding some more to make it clearer for guests.

Rosalyn Dunmore - 1st September 2018

An excellent cottage in terms of location, size and equipment but potential to be so much better in terms of cleanliness and other factors. There was an overwhelming smell of air freshener on arrival and the cleanlinesses of the main living space poor. We spent the first afternoon cleaning the property namely the hardwood and carpeted floors throughout, as well as removing throws from sofas all due to large amounts of dog hairs leftover from previous occupants. Also some of the equipment such as chopping boards were not clean. There was also a lack of personal touches, attention to detail and the property folder required updating. We also felt that for the price it was unusual to have to bring your own towels rather than have them provided for us.

Thank you for your comments following your stay at Gwel y Rhos. We have forwarded them direct to the owner and await their feedback. It is a beautiful property in a lovely quiet setting and we are sorry that it did not quite live up to expectations

I have contacted both quality cottages and feefo as my message was not meant as a public review and have asked for it to be removed. It was meant only for quality cottages and the owners of the cottage.
