I spent 3.5 hours at Bangor Honspital lr wst A&E after falling and hurting my arm and my shoulder and neck trying to repair a bed that collapsed on my friend who as suffered 3strokes and a hip replacement. Owner gave 2 choices either choices for my friend to sleep in a completely unsuitable bed settee or try to repair myself (telling me there were brackets in cupboard draw) and his joiner was out of the UK .In the process of carrying out the repair I fell backwards hence injury for which little sympathy from owner who a month later offered me a derisory 100 compensation which swiftly rejected. Other problems at this rental were bins not emptied when we arrived so we struggled all week with refuse when we had a 93 year old doubly incontinent lady with us.A torch did not work when we suffered a power cut. Settees Including bed settee offered as an alternative for my friend old and very uncomfortable. Smell from drainage outside and porch door very hard to open and close. The broken bed was not replaced just repaired which says a lot of the owner and the 2 stars given is for the location only .A miserable time and painful experience.

As I described before. We felt we had been misled.

Thank you for your review and feedback which we will send onto the owner, we are sorry you felt misled,
In a lovely spot with great views and garden. Would have given a higher rating if scruffy furniture and woodwork in and around entrance porch had been addressed. We had to give the house a good airing on arrival to get rid of a musty smell. The lack of a 'welcome' was disappointing for us. As seasoned holiday renters, we paid much more than previously for other places and expected a top quality experience. There were insufficient towels laid out for our party of 4 adults and no spare loo rolls! There was no welcome pack, not even a bottle of milk, loaf of bread or a bottle of wine. There were only a few leaflets with information about Anglesey, and that included one dated 2005! One of our party ventured into the 'games room' (in the garage) but could not use anything due to disrepair. Some of the outdoor furniture on the roof of the garage was ripped. We enjoyed our stay in Anglesey and to sit in the garden and look at the beach when it was sunny was lovely. However, we do all agree that given the price band as well, the place needs a bit of tlc and attention given to small details.

From the owner:- We always want guests to have a fabulous holiday and to love the location just as we do. We provide 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per guest , which is the standard throughout Quality Cottages. . Thankyou for your comments on the welcome pack. We have reviewed over many years the guests expectations and have found that guests prefer a fairer price than a bottle of wine , but we continue to review . However biscuits and milk are to be provided in future.

Hmm. Interesting reply from the owners that has not addressed ANY of the issues we have raised other than that milk and biscuits now to be provided! (Would providing a bottle of wine really inflate the cost of a stay?)
I could wax lyrical all day about Creigiau'r Nant, it has to be seen to be believed. The location is in a truly idyllic spot and as my headline indicates, the views from the terrace are absolutely breathtaking, be it sunrise, watching the tides ebb and flow or the sunsets which I hope I have done justice to in my photograph. The property itself is airy, spacious, comfortable and homely. The kingsize mattress is a memory foam and after a day in the sea air, was certainly conducent to a good night's sleep. The property also has a decent shower which is also a great positive. The garden is in such a tranquil setting. So natural, with a waterfall, stream running through the bottom of the garden and of course the fish pond. Although to be honest, having experience of owning ponds, the water was quite murky and could do with a good clean. We enjoyed our time in the 'games' room (little bit of artistic licence there), double garage in the shade so a bit chilly at times. However, I would imagine this would be an amazing place if you go with children, probably the pool more than the darts! There are plenty of places to sit outside and we were fortunate to have warm and sunny weather in order to utilise these. We will definitely return if you'll have us. Thank you.
