Shore Cottage, Wow what can we say, what a fantastic place to stay.

From the drive along the beach you know you're in for a secluded getaway.

Having stayed in Shore cottage before the renovation works were done we can't believe it's the same place. The level of finish and standard of accommodation is just simply outstanding. Under floor heating throughout the ground floor makes it always lovely and warm.

The views, the views! From the main living area the views are never the same and are simply breathtaking. From early morning all the way through to the end of the day we found ourselves sometimes just sitting looking out onto the beach, watching the changing sky from rainbows to bright glorious blue skies what a view! It is so magical to be able to just pop our boots on and set off walking on the beach. We ventured out around the island experiencing beautiful walks but we must say you can't beat the bay!

The hot tub was simply amazing, to be outside in warm temperature water (while hailing) looking out across the hills with a glass of Prosecco in hand, we couldn't of wished for a more relaxing and scrumptious stay.

Shore Cottage is now so spacious, which was in fact amazing as we stayed with extended family and were able to congregate, have lovely meals together at the dining table yet if you wanted some time out we could go off to our separate area of the house and enjoy some time to ourselves. There is an amazing central kitchen to cook up some delights, loved the ESSE cooking Range. The bedrooms are more than spacious with walk in showers!

Just simply amazing place to stay, glorious views fantastic accommodation we can't wait to book again. A house for all seasons What a treat!

We were blown away with how incredible this beach cottage is!

After a big walk out on the beach we always snuggled up by the fire. The family loved the hot tub and I loved cooking healthy wholesome dinners in the amazing kitchen which has the best view of the beach. The open plan living meant we could all be together but have plenty of space to do our own thing.

One of our favourite things was the dog washing area as our dogs get very sandy from running on the beach and we like to give them a good rinse and dry after.
All the windows have great views onto the bay or the forest! I could have moved in! Beds super comfy and the en suites are big and warm and great showers. THANK YOU for renovating Shore Cottage to such a high standard we will be back next year!!!!

Julie Wright - 2nd October 2018

Shore Cottage is an amazing, relaxing retreat. The property is very well equipped for your stay. There is all the essential items, toilet rolls and coffee tea etc. The owner was nearby during our stay and was easy to contact with a slight issue with the blind, which was sorted immediately. It is a very special place to share with family and friends, just as we did. Very highly recommend a stay here. Can’t wait to return.

Deborah Whitehead - 25th August 2018

This is the most fabulous cottage we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect. Very high standards inside & out. If you want relaxation this is the place for you. Unbeatable views. Just stunning ! The hot tub is the icing on the cake. Would not hesitate to recommend. Very sad to leave only wish we could have stayed longer. Compliments to the owners for the attention to detail. Special thanks to Rosemary the caretaker of the property.

Excellent, with only a few small hitches

Susie Astbury - 18th July 2018

We stayed here 2 years ago and in fact entertained the council planning department, so were very interested to see the changes. What a transformation. Again we were blessed with good weather so a wonderful time was had by all.

About the Area
Beaches and Coastal Path
  • 100 metres walk along the coastal path in front of the house is an easy stroll away and a lovely safe sandy beach. Take the coastal path onward around the headland to Llanddona beach which has a wide expanse of sand and safe bathing. A short drive up the coast is Benllech with a popular sandy beach small children will enjoy the rock pools at low tide and dogs will love the freedom. Drive up to the small seaside village of Moelfre much like a small Cornish village and enjoy the fine view with the lovely Lligwy beach beyond. Explore different areas of the Coastal Path recommended is the walk around Porth Eilean near Amlwch a pretty secluded little bay with a rugged coastline and spectacular views.

Din Lligwy pre historic site
  • Walk across the fields to this evocative site of stone round and rectangular houses well preserved where walls rise waist high and door lintels still standing. With trees dancing in the wind and complete absence of modern buildings nearby its deeply atmospheric on a summer's evening - well worth a visit.

Beaumaris

Snowdonia National Park

  • Take a train ride to the summit of Snowdonia - the star of the National Park. It is the highest mountain in England and Wales. For the more energetic you could walk to the top. Whichever way you choose to get to the top, it will be an unforgettable experience!
Plas Newydd (National Trust)

  • Set overlooking the Menai Strait and across to Snowdonia and with the mighty Britannia Bridge in the foreground. Beautiful rolling lawns dotted with mature beech and lime trees with a riot of colours in Spring of magnolias, azaleas and hydrangea in Summer, woodland walks with tree houses and play areas. The manor house is also interesting with memorabilia of the battle of Waterloo where the 1st Marquis of Anglesey lost his leg and large wall murals by Rex Whistler a friend of the family.

Places to Eat
