Awelon has the most amazing view in all directions and provided us with a beautiful spot to relax and explore the surrounding beaches. The cottage is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more, alongside thorough instructions for everything. We were in the hot tub every day. The hot tub itself was really clean and well maintained. We went to the beaches at Abersoch, Morfa Nefyn and Llanbedrog which were all quite different but all so beautiful it was hard to tear ourselves away! We would definitely like to come back to the area at some point and stay in this cottage again if possible, it definitely surpassed our (high) expectations.

Having read the previous reviews i was a little concerned before we set off BUT .We have just returned home from the MOST RELAXING family holiday. We were an extended family of 11 (8 adults a 4 yr old 2 yr old and 4 month old. Plus a 36 week pregnant mum!!!!!) Its was everything we needed. the view when we first pulled up outside the house was nothing short of magical. The pictures online just cant capture it. The outside space around the house was fantastic for a large family for playing games or relaxing in the fabulous hot tub or having a BBQ. The coastal path is literally in front of the house so for those wanting a little more exercise it was ideal. The inside of the house is just delightful. Really spacious but incredibly cosy. All of the equipment in the house is top quality eg Denby pottery, Miele appliances, top quality beds (sooo comfy) and bedding -so it has a luxurious feel - but the fixtures and fittings were beautiful without being precious which meant that we could relax even with a very adventurous 2 year old. The area is perfect for beaches all within 10 miles. Aberdaron is great for children and whistling sands has wonderful rock pools and a lovely little cafe. Morfa Nefyn is delightful little spot and the circular walk through the golf course has a view of seals basking pretty much guaranteed. if you want a long stretch of sand then Quarry beach or Llanbedrog are great. The art gallery at Llanbedrog worth a trip too (you can wander up when the others are on the beach!) The owners Alex and Jackie could not have been more helpful. All they wanted is for us to have a good time and nothing was too much trouble. We would love to go back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect, large, cosy, luxurious, relaxing break.Oh and in response to the previous reviews - we found it to be REALLY clean. Its an old stone house (we live in one at home)so a few cobwebs are to be expected!! But everything in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms was spotless Weve had family holidays in destinations all over the world but COVID meant a staycation this time and we couldnt have been more thrilled with our holiday - its as good as weve had anywhere.

The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Cleanliness was not good. We had to clean fridge before use and get used to cobwebs and dust under beds. Hot tub very difficult to use due to poor quality of control.panel. Very steep steps to some bedrooms. Lo vely location, spacious and airy house in an idyllic setting.

An ideal house for a family with young children. It is very tastefully furnished, kitchen very well equipped with everything needed, and the situation is in a beautiful setting. The view is stunning, surrounded by mountains, overlooking the four mile stretch of Hell's Mouth Bay. Near a number of family beaches. It is not far from Aberdarron, which is convenient for grocery shopping and a Bakery very worth a visit , with a selection of eating places too.

We have had a fantastic week! The wonderful views, spacious accommodation, everything we needed, every gadget under the sun. Everything has been thought of here & we arrived to a very clean house! Coastal walks, beaches, Snowdonia a short drive away, amazing! We will definitely return. Thanks.

And here we are again, the beautiful views draw us in. Thank you for a lovely stay yet again. We have had a lovely stay. The weather has been very kind to us. We had 3 lovely sunny days on Whistling Sands, see you again soon.

Awelon is a great base for everything. Right on the (new) coastal path, so my sister was happy as she could easily walk her dog in the morning. Just a few minutes down to Aberdaron to the baker for croissant in the morning. And half a mile from Hell's Mouth (which Mum never took us to when we were kids), which my brother and I ran along one evening. The views north to Snowdon on a clear day are unbelievable! You can also see the Dublin hills! And the hills in central Wales! The cottage is pretty spacious - one big double with a new ensuite and plenty of other configurations. The kitchen is very well appointed and as well as a lovely old old-fired Stanley, there's loads of Miele appliances. We had a very slow roasted double leg of lamb with roasties that was yum. As well as the big kitchen table there are two big sitting rooms, so we could easily spread out for board games, jigsaws, bridge, etc.

We have had a brilliant week at Awelon, the cottage is awesome, you could not fault the facilities and equipment on offer the owners have thought of everything. Plenty of space to accommodate the large family and any extra visitors. A little away from things but that added to its beauty, plenty of walks to take the kids on and a brilliant hill just behind for flying kites. Need to see when we can all get together again
