This was our second visit to Hendre Uchaf - a party of 7 which reduced down to 4 in the second week. As before we loved our stay here, the weather was great although perhaps a bit too nippy to make full use of the outside patio. The kids loved the enclosed garden and were delighted to find sheep shearing had been laid on as entertainment for them at the nearby barn. A well stocked kitchen for the size of the house, although a few more mugs would not go amiss (perhaps our tea drinking is excessive?.....) Always plenty of hot water and enough showers to go around when everyone came back from the beach. A perfect location, 5 mins drive to Aberdaron beach and facilities and 10 mins to Whistling Sands (or 35 mins to walk across the fields). Beautiful Sunsets in the evening.
Thank you. Enjoyed the house, the position, family church at Criccieth, walk over Llanbedrog head, sister's 70th birthday.
Wonderful to be here in such a glorious place with all our family. Thank you.
Another fantastic week See you next year!
Here again for the eighth time. We love it here even the weather wasn't too good at the start but picked up over the last couple of days. It's a nice excuse to stay in and relax and read or enjoy the scenery and wild life e.g sheep, bulls, pheasants, rabbits, birds and even buzzards! We still went for a walk on the coastal path and called at the pub for a couple. Thanks to Catrin & Alan we've enjoyed it. Hope to see you next year.
Thank you for the use of your house it has an amazing view!
Gemma and Mia - We loved everything about this house especially the kitchen. It is gigantic.
Rachel and Gavin - What a wonderful holiday. The house is perfect and weloved the location plenty of space for 9. Thank you.
Another great week at Hendre Uchaf. Many thanks.
Wonderful property with exceptional views, no need to ever venture out if you don't wish to do so. Very accommodating owners with a wonderful sense of humor can definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the near future.
Really good venue for a holiday.
Hendra uchaf is a great property to stay at in wales ??????? superb quality cottage at reasonable price great views from location this property has all amenities you need comfortable furniture I like this place under floor heating quality, very spacious property clean utilities perfect home to stay in for holiday and scenic views to love from getting up in the morning to night excellent property a credit to owners
Lovely comfortable cottage with stunning views and equipped with everything you could need. Would certainly recommend it.
Stunning and fully equipped, beautiful setting and so peaceful
Great dog friendly cottage in ideal location for walking, generally well maintained, and clean. Odd not to have any information on how to work things eg cooker, electric fire in 2nd lounge, and CD but think that was broken, and no contact from owner whilst we were there but very helpful prior to arrival.. Briefly saw owners husband on arrival when he brought a hose to wash dogs with. Fantastic log burner and endless dry logs, although kitchen did get chilly with only underfloor heating (it had been snowing). Great views from kitchen out to sea and fantastic walking from the door. Definitely need new frying pan!Replies from Quality Cottages

Coastal farmhouse near Aberdaron and Whistling Sands on the tip of the beautiful Llyn Peninsula.
Handsome Hendre Uchaf is a fabulous coastal farmhouse with breathtaking panoramic views over the southern tip of the Llyn Peninsula close to Aberdaron and Whistling Sands.
The huge open plan kitchen/dining room was made for socialising. The perfect spot at the heart of the home for holiday meals - throw open the patio doors on warm days and extend your living space into the garden. The sunsets from the patio are fantastic.
Two comfortable and characterful sitting rooms, one with exposed timber beams and inglenook with log burning stove, the other with leather sofas, tv and access to the garden provide ample space for rest and relaxation. One for adults and the other for excited children perhaps?
The four spacious bedrooms with comfy beds, restful pastel décor and timber floors each have their own character and style.
Dogs are welcome and will surely love the spacious enclosed garden, perfect for family fun.
You can admire more of the wonderful views with a Coast Path walk, leave the car at home and start your walk on the footpath on the doorstep to join up with the Coastal Path.
Best of all the seaside village of Aberdaron with shops, cafes, restaurants and lovely sandy beach is less than a mile away, just 2 minutes by car and glorious Whistling Sands beach (cared for by the National Trust) is 2.8 miles just 10 minutes by car.
