Mike Jones - 25th May 2018

Great dog friendly cottage in ideal location for walking, generally well maintained, and clean. Odd not to have any information on how to work things eg cooker, electric fire in 2nd lounge, and CD but think that was broken, and no contact from owner whilst we were there but very helpful prior to arrival.. Briefly saw owners husband on arrival when he brought a hose to wash dogs with. Fantastic log burner and endless dry logs, although kitchen did get chilly with only underfloor heating (it had been snowing). Great views from kitchen out to sea and fantastic walking from the door. Definitely need new frying pan!

This was our second visit to Hendre Uchaf - a party of 7 which reduced down to 4 in the second week. As before we loved our stay here, the weather was great although perhaps a bit too nippy to make full use of the outside patio. The kids loved the enclosed garden and were delighted to find sheep shearing had been laid on as entertainment for them at the nearby barn. A well stocked kitchen for the size of the house, although a few more mugs would not go amiss (perhaps our tea drinking is excessive?.....) Always plenty of hot water and enough showers to go around when everyone came back from the beach. A perfect location, 5 mins drive to Aberdaron beach and facilities and 10 mins to Whistling Sands (or 35 mins to walk across the fields). Beautiful Sunsets in the evening.

Here again for the eighth time. We love it here even the weather wasn't too good at the start but picked up over the last couple of days. It's a nice excuse to stay in and relax and read or enjoy the scenery and wild life e.g sheep, bulls, pheasants, rabbits, birds and even buzzards! We still went for a walk on the coastal path and called at the pub for a couple. Thanks to Catrin & Alan we've enjoyed it. Hope to see you next year.
