Llanbedrog Beach

Llanbedrog beach with picture-postcard beach huts. This is a really gorgeous, long sandy beach with parking available at the National Trust car park on the lane above the beach. In the summer months, the Aqua Beach Bar and & Cafe will be open down near the entrance to the beach and is a great place to sit and have a drink, Ice-cream, meal or just to watch the sun go down.

Porthor (Whistling Sands)

This sheltered, long white sandy beach squeaks as you walk on it, the beach is picturesque and has a beach café serving food and drinks. There is a long, steep walk down to the beach, but it's well worth it! Parking is at the top of the hill where there are some toilet facilities in the National Trust car park.

Warren

A mile and a half of perfect sand. Great views across the bay. Parking is by the roadside, metered coins only, you'll find the Sandbar restaurant, a beach cafe selling coffee, beer and basic food. There are no public facilities other than those at the Sandbar Restaurant.

Abersoch

Abersoch is a short drive from Ty'r Ysgol -It has many shops, pubs and restaurants and cafes. Some limited, free, on-street parking is available in the town and the beach is incredible, whatever the time of year. It stretches away as far as the eye can see. Venture beyond Abersoch to Porth Ceiriad for surfing or coastal walks. Call into the Porth Tocyn Hotel for a fabulous alfresco lunch, drinks or evening meal, they also do a superb Sunday lunch. Check seasonal opening times and book ahead as its popular.

Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth)

Four miles of undisturbed beach. The best surfing in the area. Usually catered by a fast food van in the car park. Great all year round, a dramatic beach with a fabulous backdrop of the Rhiw Hillsides. There are no facilities here.

Aberdaron

Village on the beach like no other in Wales, breathtaking scenery and coastal walks available all year round! No visit to Aberdaron is complete without a visit to Gillian & Geraint's fabulous bakery, Becws Islyn, get yourself some hot home-baked items, beer breads, homemade pasties and pies, cream cakes and much, much more. The cafe above the bakery is fantastic too with a big outdoor area for alfresco meals. Wifi available here.

There are 2 pubs in the village, one of which has a big balcony hanging over the beach and the other has a superb restaurant serving excellent food and a really friendly local bar. There is a National Trust Car Park in the centre of the village. A few miles out of Aberdaron you can catch the boat to Bardsey; visit the island for a day trip with Bardsey Island Boat Trips, run by Colin Evans. Regular day trips to the island are available throughout the season. Trips usually allow for between 3 and 4 hours on the island, plenty of time to visit all of the island's key features and landmarks.
