Pretty Criccieth cottage

  • Pretty little Bwthyn Stabal is tucked away at the side of a late 18th Century Grade II listed manor house in the heart of Criccieth on the Llyn Peninsula. 
  • May also be booked with Plas Bryn Hir (1352) which sleeps 13 &/or Bwthyn yr Ardd (1198) which sleeps 6. 
  • Surrounded by woodlands this lovely holiday cottage with sea views from the kitchen/dining room and bi-folding kitchen doors is in a peaceful location with a walled garden.
  • Enjoy leisurely al fresco meals and an orchard shared with its 'sister' Bwthyn yr Ardd (ref 1198) .
  • Pretty interior includes a snug little sitting room with a Victorian fireplace and a contemporary cream kitchen.
  • 2 of the attractive bedrooms have Victorian fireplaces.
  • Look out for the 600-year-old yew tree in the grounds along with oak, walnut and Douglas Firs.
  • The property is protected with CCTV in the grounds, focused on the oil tank whilst guests are in residence and on the front door in low season.

Fabulous little cottage on a stunning manor estate. The gardens were beautiful. Lots of outdoor space for kids and our small dog loved it too! We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely rebook. Lots of lovely beaches nearby. Recommend Harlech beach and castle approx. 20 mins drive away.

Re-visit after 3 years and saw lovely improvements to the cottage and grounds. Sausages at the local butchers excellent. Beach at Black Rock superb! The Cottage is lovely and we were lucky with weather. Hope to return soon. Thank you.

What a great week! Not only was the weather fantastic, the cottage was idyllic?what a setting and perfectly located. It is the first time we have visited the Llyn Peninsular, and we're impressed with it. Borth-y-gest is a must. (The walk from Black Rock sands to the caf� is wonderful ? 6 mile round trip). We loved Abersoch, Aberdaron, the steam train through Snowdonia to Caernarfon, and Criccieth. Thanks for a great week.

Second visit here for us. Weather has been kind comfortable cottage. Enjoyed the fair in Criccieth. Lovely shops. Great walks. Squirrels, jays, buzzards, tree creepers all paid us a visit. Recharged our batteries.

  • Walk into the town which is overlooked by its distinctive ruined castle on the hillside which separates the 2 Blue Flag beaches.
  • Lots of locally owned shops - deli/coffee shop, butchers and fishmongers - good recommended restaurants are Poachers, Dylan's and Royal China .

  • Join the Llyn Coastal Path for walks with spectacular views across the bay to Harlech - wonderful bird and marine life.

  • This is the picturesque Italian folly based on Portofino - beautiful views, a great restaurant and unique pottery.

  • There are riverside walks and a scrumptious ice cream shop to enjoy and whilst on the way and check out the RSPB Osprey Centre on the Glaslyn River.
