Accommodation really nice and only a short stroll from the beach. Blessed with lovely weather we enjoyed the great coastal walks and beautiful scenery. The only downside was noise from tractors and other heavy vehicles passing the property very early in the morning as the house is situated on a crossroad. That said I would stay there again ?

A wonderful homely cottage, furnished to a very high standard. Everything was immaculately clean. The kitchen and all its many utensils was impressive. Constant hot water, lovely fluffy towels and even beach towels provided. It was great to park our car there and then not use it. The cottage is within close walking distance of the beach and numerous coastal paths. A lovely cottage.

The cottage was perfect and is a credit to the owners. We have already booked again for next year. Everything is of exceptional quality throughout and the log burner was perfect for the cold evenings.

A dream of a holiday! The house has everything and more in such a perfect setting. For families with dogs, I would recommend Poppit Sands and Tresaith beaches. Both have sand and doggy section. Thank you so much for the welcome gifts - very much appreciated. We will definitely book again, as there are so many more places to explore.

Beautifully renovated cottage in a fabulous location. We will miss the gorgeous view from the garden. The sound of the river flowing by is super. Loads of walks and lovely beaches nearby. Aberaeron is lovely, you can walk from the cottage. The cellar restaurant is well worth a visit, very friendly staff and good food. We agree the fence is essential for dog safety. Thank you for a lovely week.

Morfa Nefyn Beach and Porthdinllaen (NT)

  • Only a short walk from this delightful home Morfa Nefyn beach is an amazing sandy bay and at low tide a pleasant stroll leads you to The Ty Coch pub in the tiny former smugglers' cove of Porthdinllaen - one of the most popular hubs on the Peninsula and voted the 3rd most popular beach bar in the world - its easy to see why, on lovely summer days what could be nicer than sitting on the pub wall with your feet dangling in the water enjoying a pint in great company!

Coastal Path

  • This can be joined at the entrance to Morfa Nefyn beach and this promontory is one of the Llyn Peninsula Path's gems with views to the east and west of and a wonderful place to look out for grey seals and dolphins in quiet weather.

  • The 'Porth Tocyn Hotel' near Abersoch is ideal for special meals and has featured in the Good Food Guide since the 1970's. This is traditional cooking at its very best and Nick Fletcher Brewer, the owner, sets the tone with his gregariousness and impish sense of humour - this hotel is really the essence of Abersoch.

  • Locally caught crab and lobster are on the menu of the two hotels in the village and can also be bought locally - award winning and delicious.
  • Abersoch is the polar opposite of Aberdaron, buzzing in high season with cafes and pubs all spilling out onto the street creating a lively atmosphere - this is also a serious sailing centre with regattas throughout July and August and is host to a Jazz Festival in September with bands playing along the streets
