3rd August 2019

Cosy cottage, great location. Know the area well. Lovely week catching up with family and weather lovely too. Many thanks

25th July 2019

Lovely relaxing cottage in a stunning area. The weather was very kind to us. Would highly recommend the walk to Ty Coch pub on the beach at Porthdinllaen. Take crabbing lines, buckets and nets!! There are brilliant rock pools accessible all day. The Cost-cutter shop in Nefyn village is brilliant. Looks deceptive on the outside but inside is fab.

20th July 2019

You have a beautiful home. We really enjoyed the stay here. Our little one enjoyed her trips to the beach very much. Thank you so much.

Places to eat and buy food

  • Just at the entrance of the golf club on Golf Road is the Porthdinllaen Cafe. Enjoy a fisherman's breakfast or children's favourite, Americana breakfast with bacon pancake, banana and maple syrup! Bring your own wine if eating here at night. Another excellent place to eat is the gastro pub The Ship at Edern a mile north of Morfa Nefyn. To shop locally there is The Truck Stop in the centre of the village and the SPAR at Nefyn - both supply locally sourced meat, fish and vegetables.

Morfa Nefyn Beach and Porthdinllaen

  • This is a long sandy bay and at low tide Porthdinllaen is but a short walk along the beach. This is a perfect little harbour hamlet - it is an idyllic cove with the added bonus of a cracking pub The Ty Coch - voted the 3rd most popular beach bar in the World. What could be better than a drink in hand and feet dipping into the water from the pub wall!

Coastal Path

  • This can be joined just close to the back of the property which gives a choice of two headlands. Head northward to lovely Nefyn beach or westward to the gem of the path - the rocky promontory of Porthdinllaen. This is a superb location and a great place to stop and look out for curious seals coming close to the shore.

Family Fun

  • Enjoy a variety of quality family attractions on Anglesey including award winning Anglesey Sea Zoo at Brynsiencyn, the Bridges Exhibition at Meani Bridge, Copper Kingdom at Amlwch, The Old Court House Museum, Gaol Museum, Castle and Paddling Pool at Beaumaris, Holyhead Maritime Museum, South Stack RSPB, Llanddwyn Island once home to Wales' patron saint of lovers, Plas Newydd Country House and Gardens N.T. at Llanfairpwll, Llynon Working Windmill at Llanddeusant and Breakwater Country Park at Holyhead.

Nefyn Golf Club

  • The owner of his property is also the golf professional of the course and will be able to advise on the best times to play and if any discounts are available. This is an amazing course set on the dramatic headland above Porthdinllaen with spectacular views of the Rival mountains and sublime bays - undoubtedly Wales's most photographed course.

Boat Trips

  • Rib Ride, Starida Cruises and Seacoast Safaris run thrilling boat trips from Menai Bridge and Beaumaris to explore the fabulous rugged coast line dotted with historic sites and a wealth of wildlife including puffins, seals and dolphins.

Psyched Paddle Boarding

  • Explore Anglesey's stunning waterways on stand up paddle boards. Learn new skills on a taster session, enjoy group fun or micro adventures in the day time or at night with expert SUP guide Sian 01248 440 831.

  • Aberdaron is the 'Lands End' of the Peninsula. It is a tiny village of white washed cottages with an ancient church just above the water's edge. Land has been bought by the National Trust to preserve the unique landscape from development. They have built a new visitors centre which serves as a focal point from which to promote the area. Sample award winning crab and lobster at the Ty Newydd Hotel or The Ship Hotel in the village centre. Enjoy lunch on the balcony of the Ty Newydd with the sea lapping just below and soak up the beauty of the location with two pretty little islands in the middle of the bay know as 'The Isles of Gulls'.
  • There are boat trips from here in good weather to Bardsey Island - home to a myriad of seabirds amongst the ruins of the ancient Abbey.

  • Abersoch could no be more different with a great atmosphere with tables spilling out onto the pavements from restaurants and pubs. It is also a great watersports centre and is at its most vibrant during the August Regatta. One of the oldest community run regattas in Wales, it boasts a comprehensive list of events from the serious sailing stuff, raft racing, crab catching, sandcastle building contests and best dressed beach hut competition.

Glyn y Weddw Art Gallery

  • Set just above Llanbedrog beach, this lovely Gothic Manor house is the home of the oldest art gallery in Wales and displays the works of renowned and up and coming Welsh artists. Improvements have been made recently with an outdoor amphitheatre for Summer concerts and plays. What could be better on a Summer' evening than listening to music in such a divine setting!

  • Visit Snowdonia National Park for breathtaking coastal and countryside scenery, historic buildings, fascinating industrial heritage.
  • Snowdon Mountain Railway - sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery from the comfort of the train as it journeys uphill through the mountain.
  • For activities try; Zip World's longest Zip Wire, Bounce Below, Fforest Coaster, Tree Top Adventures and Surf Snowdonia.

Caernarfon Castle and Victoria Dock

  • The huge castle here makes for a lovely day out - its size will amaze and fascinate. King Edward I created what is surely one of the most impressive castles in Wales and you can see why its been given the status of a World Heritage Site. The Victoria Dock, also in Caernarfon, is full of yachts and surrounded on the dock side by stylish shops and cafes with a gallery that includes a theatre and cinema - ideal for wet days!

Characterful holiday cottage conveniently located for Morfa Nefyn and Nefyn beaches on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula.
