Excellent cottage with everything that you could need. Annmarie was a wonderful host and very welcoming. As we had my 14 month old grandson with us it was an extra bonus to have stair gates provided not just a cot and high chair. I know that Annmarie is concerned because she has had to remove things because of the Covid restrictions but it was still a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The decor and furnishing are to a high standard and there are plenty of pots and pans etc in the kitchen. It was great to see a good size fridge and freezer and to have a cafetire for that morning coffee ! The two bathrooms are also very useful. The views from the cottage are fabulous and only a few minutes drive to the town and beaches. The outside space around the cottage is also a great place to sit or for children to play safely. We can recommend The Rabbit Farm, a local petting zoo, for young children but there are things for all ages in the area, with some restrictions due to the present problems.Highly recommended for a quiet and relaxing break or for family fun.

Plas Heli, Pwllheli

A state of the art sailing and events centre open to all with bars and restaurants next to the beach.

Llyn Peninsula

From Pwllheli, the lovely Llyn Peninsula lays ahead ready to be explored - enjoy the cliffs and beaches along one of the most remote and unspoilt coastlines in Wales with spectacular views from bracken covered headlands. Look out for the grey seal small colonies that are established around the coastline, alongside a wealth of sea birds.

Llyn Peninsula Beaches

Lots to choose from - Abererch beach golden sands that never get crowded, Llanbedrog (NT) lovely with brightly coloured beach huts, Abersoch beach and Aberdaron whose beach is directly in front of the whitewashed village.

Morfa Nefyn with the smugglers' cove of Porthdinllaen (NT) and the famous Ty Coch pub, Whistling Sands (NT) where the sands really do whistle or just explore and find your own favourite cove.

Glyn y Weddw Art Gallery

Sitting just above LLanbedrog beach the Gallery has exhibitions of renowned local artists throughout the year. Take a coffee or lunch break in their highly recommended conservatory or on warm days eat out on the lawns.

Aberdaron

The 'Lands End' of North Wales - remote and beautiful - dine in the 2 hotels at the water's edge or the 'Gegin Fawr' cafe serving award-winning crab and lobster - an ancient hostelry used by Medieval pilgrims before embarking for Bardsey Island.

Plas Yn Rhiw (National Trust)

This beautiful manor house was restored in the 1930s by the Keating sisters and preserves a way of life long disappeared from the Llyn countryside.

Family Fun

Boat Trips

Throughout the summer boats take off from Pwllheli and Aberdaron enjoy the idyllic coastline and in good weather visit Bardsey Island, a place of pilgrimage - three journeys to Bardsey were said to equal one to Rome. There are still remains of the 13th Century Augustinian abbey here amongst windswept solitude.
