Lovely cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside with amazing views. Helpful owner. Lovely cake on arrival. Especially comfy sofa, chairs and beds to relax in. Good collection of maps, books on walks and leaflets with activities nearby. Well equipped property. Had a great stay.

De ligging is heel mooi alhoewel de weg ernaartoe misschien iets beter beschreven kon zijn. Eens je het weet is het geen probleem meer. Het sanitair is hier en daar wel wat aan vernieuwing toe. De eigenaars zijn zijn hl vriendelijk en steeds bereid om hulp te bieden en uitleg te geven over de omgeving. Zeer zeker een aanrader voor mensen die van rust en natuur houden. We hadden een fantastische tijd met de hele familie.

Black Rock Sands
Just a few minutes drive by car is Black Rocks Sands. A fine sandy beach which you can drive your car onto - great for families with small children.
Porthmadog
The busy harbour town of Porthmadog has a range of shops, supermarket, bank, chemist, internet cafe, post office, filling station, vet, doctors surgeries as well as being home to the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways and on Cambrian Coast Railway line. There is also an excellent links golf course.
Criccieth beaches and town
With its magnificent castle, coastal location, wealth of interesting shops to explore and a choice of places to eat and drink, Criccieth is well worth a visit.
Boasting two Blue Flag beaches either side of the romantic ruined castle on the hillside, the town skirts the shoreline with plenty of independent shops selling meat, fish and fresh vegetables. There are many good restaurants and cafes indulge in freshly made ice cream at renowned Cadwalladers or superb fish and chips at the shop opposite.
Eating Out
Criccieth offers a variety of excellent places to eat out. Try stylish and informal Dylan's overlooking the beach, small family owned Poachers where local produce is used to create a menu with international influences, popular flower bedecked Castle Inn, a friendly Welsh tavern with good food, Tir a Mor day time cafe/restaurant,Castle Fish & Chips for traditional seaside meals, The Moelwyn, Y Sgwar and the Moorings Bistro.
Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways
Both railways have their terminus at Porthmadog, the Ffestiniog crosses the embankment which offers sublime views of Snowdon and the magnificent Glaslyn Estuary before steaming upwards through the wooded valley of Maentwrog to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Stop there and visit the Llechwedd Slate Caverns or for the more adventurous try the longest zip wire run in the world - a very popular new feature. The Welsh Highland goes in the opposite directions through the famous Aberglaslyn Pass and onto Caernarfon - whose mighty castle is well worth a visit.
Royal St Davids Golf Course
An ideal base for a golfing holiday as this Snowdonia barn conversion is close to one of Wales' premier golf courses - Royal St Davids, Harlech.
Glaslyn Ospreys RSPB
Follow the fortunes of a breeding pair of ospreys, north Wales' most celebrated birds. Watch live activities in the nest via a web cam or from bird hides equipped with powerful telescopes and binoculas out in the nature. Ornithologists & enthusiasts will be aware of another successful breeding pair at Ynys Hir near Machynlleth.
Portmeirion
The Italianate village of Portmeirion built on its own wooded peninsula is a beautiful location to visit. Designed by Sir Clough Williams Ellis to show how a naturally beautiful site could be developed. Made famous by the tv series The Prisoner in the 1960's.
The energetic of all ages will enjoy a day at Lleyn Adventure Activities. Choose coasteering, canyoning, climbing, abseiling, scenic walks and more. Qualified instructors will ensure you have a safe and exciting experience.
Caernarfon Castle
Do visit Caernarfon Castle, architecturally one of the most impressive Welsh castles. It's sheer scale and commanding presence still dominates today. There are imaginative exhibitions to browse and the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, Wales' oldest regiment.
