Our second stay at Y Stablau which we thoroughly enjoyed. It is very peaceful with only sheep and newborn lambs for company, yet near Barmouth and within easy reach of Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsular. We appreciated the recommendation of The Mermaid in Barmouth for fish and chips. So delicious we had it twice. Also the Minymor Hotel for Sunday lunch and curry night on a Friday. The precipice walk near Dolgellau is a must do. We hope to return.

Good accommodation, everything you need ,great log burner , quiet location, Good location for days out . Super sunsets. The steps inside the property could do with white edging ,to see them more Easily

We liked it. Could have done with a clothes airer and more glasses as some were broken in the cupboard. It was clean and well stocked with wood for the fire and kindling and the fire was ready to light. The owner was helpful when I phoned him prior to arrival. I was also not aware that there would not be towels provided though this may be an oversight on my part. I would have left the place a little cleaner if a vacuum cleaner had been provided. Our only negatives would be the wi-fi being marginal and the parental lock on sky preventing us from watching programs that we had recorded. This was very annoying. Beautiful place.

Superb location near to all amenities but in a quiet location. Cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything you would need .. even birthday candles available in one of the drawers! Took a while to get used to using the hot water tap but after that it was great!

Michael Hodgetts - 31st January 2018

Although it was tastefully furnished and well equipped we found it dark and cold and the uneven floors especially the steps were very difficult even though we are able bodied. Also the sheep woke us up at daybreak every morning so the setting was not peaceful - you expect sheep but not actually IN the back garden. The garden itself was very bare.

Thank you for your feedback which will be forwarded to the owner. It is a sweet little traditional cottage in a rural location, we are sorry that you were woken by the sheep so early.

An exellent location and accomodation Y Stablau apartment is a fantastic bungalow apartment, close to Barmouth . The property has everything, sea view, garden, conservatory, off road parking, and is very well equipped. A welcome pack was left, and we felt at home straight away. Its location is just far enough away from the main road making for a quiet chill out stay, yet only 5 mins from Barmouth. We will defo be going back. 10 out of 10.
