Luxury holiday cottage near Glamorgan Heritage Coast and the vibrant capital city of Cardiff sleeps 5 and welcomes 1 well behaved dog
  • In its own private gated grounds in the tiny quaint village of Gileston and set within the curtilage of the historic Grade II Gileston Manor and medieval Church, the Coach House is a luxury holiday cottage formerly the estate's stable block - wonderful for a relaxing holiday in any season. 1 small well behaved dog is welcome.
  • The first floor spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen is tastefully furnished with lovely soft furnishings, 2 comfortable sofas, a stunning wing armchair and an antique fireplace- lovely views across the countryside from French doors which open out onto an exterior stone staircase.
  • There is a modern fitted kitchen area and a dining table seating 8. An original door opens into the large master bedroom and then through into the bunk bedroom and bathroom (sleeps 5)

Limpert Bay
  • A short walk from the cottage takes you to Limpert Bay on the Jurassic Coast - great for sea bass fishing! Dogs are welcome all year round.
Cardiff
  • The vibrant capital city is just 15 miles away from Gileston Coach House with unique attractions, top class entertainment and quality shopping with a difference - all within walking distance. Innovative architecture sits alongside historic buildings and Cardiff Bay offers entertainment for everyone. 

Glamorgan Heritage Coast near holiday cottage
  • This is an unspoilt section of the protected Heritage Coastline and has dramatic plunging cliffs and tiny secluded coves - wonderful scenic walking, cycling or just relax and enjoy the views!
Cowbridge, Lantwit Major
  • There are lots of excellent restaurants and pubs within a short drive of the Coach House as well as stylish Cowbridge - known as the Bond Street of Wales with its boutique shops - and historic Llantwit Major - an ancient seat of learning for Welsh saints.
Southerndown & Ogmore by Sea
  • Within an easy drive is Southerndown, overlooking Dunraven Bay (used as a location for filming Dr Who) where there is a Heritage Coast Centre.
Ogmoe by Sea
  • Ogmore by Sea is a small village on the edge of a beautiful sandy bay fantastic for walking with wonderful views from the Coast Path.
Ogmore Castle
  • In the prettiest setting by the side of a river crossed via stepping stones is ruined Ogmore Castle - a lovely picnic spot or enjoy a meal or a drink at the ancient Pelican Inn. Royal Mint coins and merchandise on sale in the gift shop.
Royal Mint Experience, Llantrisant
  • The only place in the world where you can watch real coins being made. Take a 45 minute tour and learn how they start as a blank and end up in the bank. You can even strike your own coin.
Vale of Glamorgan
  • The beautiful Vale of Glamorgan has so much to offer - outdoor activities galore including golf and horse riding - rolling hills, wooded valleys, legendary villages, historic towns, ancient churches and medieval castles.
  • There are beautiful gardens including Dyffryn House (open all year) and for the wine lovers amongst us Llanerch Vineyard, Wales' oldest vineyard, both close to Cowbridge.

Living/Dining/Kitchen open plan with 1 x 3 seater & 1 x 2 seater sofa, wing armchair, open fireplace, wall mounted flat screen TV, French doors to exterior stone steps. Dining table and chairs seating 8. Well equipped fitted kitchen with electric oven & ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine.

Entrance Hall & Cloakroom with toilet and washbasin on ground floor. 13 steps to 1st floor.

Grounds gated cobbled courtyard with garden furniture.
