About Little Samphire

Walk to the picture perfect Langland Bay, with its beach huts, rock pools and cliff-path walks from this cosy bungalow or take a drive to explore the 19 miles of sandy coves along the Peninsula, including the glorious Rhossili Bay, voted in the top four beaches in Britain.

  • Recently redecorated throughout, Little Samphire provides the perfect well-appointed accommodation for a well deserved holiday on the stunning Gower Peninsula.
  • A restful night's sleep is promised in the two peaceful bedrooms which enjoy high-quality furnishings and very comfortable beds.
  • The newly fitted kitchen is ideal for some tasty holiday cooking, although eating out in the village can be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. A wide and varied cuisine is on offer which should suit most appetites.
  • There are also numerous takeaways. If you wish to dine in the bungalow, there are two supermarkets, greengrocers, butcher and fishmonger which can cater for your every need.
  • A local farmers market is held in the village on the second Saturday of every month selling local produce from the farms and waters around the Gower.
  • Relax in the comfortable lounge after a beach day, watching a good movie on the new large screened TV.
  • Your dog is very welcome to stay and will love the many dog-friendly beaches and scenic walks in the area.
  • Various activities include sailing, surfing, windsurfing, fishing, horse riding, boat trips, rambling or just relaxing on the beaches.

Langland Bay beach is family friendly and offers a great range of facilities. Explorers can also enjoy the coastal clifftop walk around to Caswell Bay.

  • Langland Bay holds both Blue Flag and Seaside Awards. A lifeguard is on duty between May and September and the beach is accessible by wheelchair.
  • There is a car park approximately 100m away from the beach. There are also toilets and beach showers, which include an accessible toilet nearby. You can get refreshments nearby (approx. 100m) and public transport is available to and from
  • Langland Bay although it is some distance away (approx. 400m). The distance between stop and beach may include difficult or rough terrain.
  • Langland Bay is suitable for watersports and dogs are not allowed on the beach between 1st May and 30th September.

Annual Events that take place in or around the village include Mumbles Navy Day (May), Mostly Blues and Jazz (May), Gower Walking Festival (June) and the RNLI Raft Race (August). Oystermouth Castle, open to the public, is just a short walk from the seafront in the village.

Swansea is a short distance away and has all the amenities that a big city can offer including cinemas, tenpin bowling, leisure centre, theatre, museums and the marina. At night a host of bars, cafes and clubs come to life for the younger or more energetic element.

Do visit the Gower Peninsula for a rich and varied environment which is breath-taking, from wild moors and limestone cliffs to many golden, sandy beaches and rolling surf.

You will love the Mumbles, a bustling seaside town with unique shops, cafes, acclaimed restaurants and happy holiday vibe.
