We have come all the way from Australia and it was worth it. We've really enjoyed staying in the cottage. The beds were so comfortable. I would definitely recommend Gower Adventures as it was the best experience an a lot of fun.

      Pobbles Bay

      • Literally, a 10-minute walk through the dunes and you arrive at the lovely unspoiled cove of Pobbles. Backed by the National Trust Cliff Path the stunning little hidden gem of a beach is dog-friendly all year round, as are most of the Gower Beaches. You will have to pack your own picnic this really is a nature lovers paradise.

      Southgate

      • This cliffside village on The Gower Peninsula is sleepy and unhindered by too many tourists. A short walk to Three Cliffs Cafe for delicious coffee and cakes, as well as the recently opened restaurant, before heading along The National Trust Coastal Path to Three Cliffs is the perfect way to start the day. Before you leave make certain to order your homemade pizza to collect at dinner time! The Southgate Club is just 200 metres away is open to non-residents and The Pennard Golf Club is even closer and is voted Number 2 of the Best Golf Clubs in Britain for its' stunning cliff top location and old-school charm. Local shops are all within 5 minutes drive. Try The Little Valley Bakery at Parkmill for artisan organic goodies.

      Three Cliffs Bay

      • Three Cliffs Bay holds a special place in the heart of every local, and it's easy to see why. The valley leading down to the sea complete with castle, the salt marshes and the sand dunes. The Three Cliffs themselves are truly beautiful all year round. The cliffs, popular with climbers, and what a location, you can actually walk underneath the cliffs through an archway. The stepping stones across the river on the Penmaen side of the bay (west), lets you stride out towards Oxwich Bay, but watch the tide to get back. Take care here the river tide is strong.

      Oxwich Bay

      • 5 miles away is the glorious privately owned Oxwich Bay, part of Penrice Estate. This beach is dog-friendly all year and the unspoiled protected sand dunes and sweeping bay are a dog walkers delight You can hire a sailing dinghy, kayak or longboard - Gower is best seen from the sea. Seals and dolphins are a common sight near these unspoiled shores.

Langland Bay, Mumbles and the Pier

        • Just a short drive away is a beach lost in time. Langland Bay is a proud beach from a bygone era. The beach still wears a badge of honour in the form of its beach huts climbing the hill behind the promenade. There are tennis courts for hire, a golf course with an enviable beach view, ice cream and great coffee to be had here.
        • Mumbles village is close by. Oystermouth Castle sits guarding and overlooking Swansea Bay is one of Wales' finest castles. Recently restored, explore parts that have been hidden away for centuries, Climb the stairway onto the aerial walk-way for a birds-eye view of the village.
        • Mumbles Pier will appeal to young and old alike arcade machines, a bowling alley. Treat everybody to ice creams and delicious coffee at Verdi's Italian Cafe to top off the perfect day as you watch the children from the Mumbles Yacht Club sailing in the Bay.

The Gower Way and King Arthur's Stone

        • You must follow the ancient byway to Cefn Bryn and King Arthur's Stone, a Neolithic burial chamber that stands mysteriously at the top. Ancient legend says it was formed from a stone thrown out of King Arthur's shoe - stunning sunsets and panoramic views of the North and South Gower beaches await you here. From this fantastic vantage point, you can see all the way to Pembrokeshire and Lundy Island. Kites circle overhead and sheep, cattle and wild ponies still graze freely on this ancient common land.

Swansea Marina, The Dylan Thomas Centre and National Waterfront Museum

        • Definitely worth a visit, Swansea Marina is host to 2 Museums, The National Waterfront Museum tells the story of industry and struggle in Wales, now and over the last 300 years. This impressive glass building stands at the edge of old Kings Dock.
        • Alongside you will find the Swansea Museum where you can discover the Mumbles Railway, Britain's first passenger carrying railway. The Dylan Thomas Centre just minutes away tells the story of Wales' Greatest Poet.

Large groups of friends and family can enjoy fulfilling year round holidays in this charming holiday house close to some of Gower's most beautiful beaches.
