About Stepping Stones

Within strolling distance of fabulous Three Cliffs Bay, Stepping Stones is a super user-friendly cottage, one of four, for beach holidays and exploring the glorious Gower Peninsula. An ideal choice for families or friends sharing. Pet dogs are welcome too.

  • The kitchen area is well equipped with hob, full oven and microwave. There is a stowaway dining table should you require it. The shower room is on the ground floor.

Fantastic location within 20 mins walk of (in my opinion) the best beaches in Gower, whilst being 15-20 mins drive from Swansea in one direction and other Gower beaches in the other. Very reasonably priced. Clean, modern, well-equipped. Extremely friendly host with easy communication. Shopkeepers in next door Shepherds also available to help! No noise from neighbours. Three Cliffs Bay

  • Three Cliffs is one of Gowers' most picturesque beaches, and it's not hard to see why. The valley leading down to the sea complete with castle, the salt marshes and the sand dunes, and the three cliffs themselves makes this destination unique. The cliffs are popular with climbers, and what a location, you can actually walk underneath the cliffs through an archway. There are stepping stones to cross the river on the Penmaen side of the bay (west), but watch the tide to get back. The beach has a seasonal lifeguard station, please take care with children and dogs.

Gower Heritage Centre

  • Visitor Centre and Rural Life Museum set in the grounds of a 12th century water mill. Lots of family entertainment including craft activities, craft shops, games arcade, animal park, sandpit, adventure playground, soft play, tractor play area and Wales smallest cinema. The Gower Inn, Parkmill

  • Cross the road and take the short stroll up river to this family classic pub serving honest pub fare and seasonal menus. Enjoy a sunny jar on the terrace listening to the river babble along.

  • The Mumbles Lifeboat Station has a remarkable history of bravery stretching over 170 years. It's crews have been presented with 33 awards for gallantry. The station has also witnessed tragedy with 18 lifeboat crew losing their lives saving others at sea. A humbling place to visit! The new lifeboat station completed in 2014 sits alongside the original building, now preserved in remembrance of all those who lost their lives at sea.

Rhossili Beach and Worms Head

  • Journey out along one of Wales's most iconic cliff walks with breathtaking views of the golden sand of Rhossili to the rugged limestone rocks of the south Gower coast. Stop off on your return for lunch at The Bay Bistro. A simply stunning view from every table of beautiful Rhossili Beach and home made treats. If the tide is out you will even see the bones of The Helvicta wreck reaching out through the sands.
  • Restored by your lunch take the challenging walk to the highest point on Gower and a descent onto one of the most iconic beaches in Wales. Burial chambers, radar stations and shipwrecks are only some of the highlights you will pass along the way. Watch the surfers ride the waves. If you fancy a lesson head over to Llangenith and Ask PJ at his Surf Shop, he will fit you out with all you need to get up and riding. Or if retail therapy is more up your street there are gift shops and a National Trust Shop here.

Blackpill Lido

  • Enjoy a family day out at Swansea's outdoor water park. The huge paddling pool has fountains, water jets and even a beach. There is a children's play area, a giant bouncy castle, picnic spot, climbing rock and the Junction Cafe.
