Excellent location. Kitchen , dining and master bedroom very nice. Lounge furniture and other bedrooms in need of major update . We had considered having friends join us and are glad we decided against as the double bedroom advertised was very dark, cold and miserable and contained spare furniture (electric keyboard!). Not ideal. King size bed appeared to have double bed bedding - also not ideal. A little more thought and attention to detail woul d improve this property immensely. The sofas in the lounge were so soft and gave no support we had to gather all the cushions and put them in one. We had a two week break and it would have been nice to have had the option of a mid break service/bed linen change. The information regarding refuge and recycling was very out of date and needs redressing. No towels is understandable given the beach location , however the provision of hand towels on arrival after a 6 hour journey would have been useful - when you need to use the facilities and find no towel until you have unpacked.

Guestbook Comments

If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at Five Bays View.

The location and the views were stunning and the close proximity to the beach made it ideal for us and we would happily return another time. The interior was also very spacious, light and airy. There is no denying that the interior is a little dated but hardly detracts from the overall comfort and homely feeling. Prior to our arrival I contacted the caretaker regarding access and he was most helpful and the property had been cleaned thoroughly on our arrival.
