Wonderful location, good layout, well equipped, needs a little work on internal decor to warrant 5* for the price.

Really nice in so many ways. Great location, well appointed, comfortable, spacious. The weather was exceptionally cold and the house had not been warmed up before our arrival so we were cold in the night, but only on day 1. Would definitely recommend and return ourselves.

The property is in a great location with excellent views of the sea and coastal areas. The kitchen is of a high quality and the beds were very comfortable. However, the following areas require attention.Upon arrival we found the garage door damaged and stuck at an angle meaning that you could not close it. As a result, rain was coming in and so we decided not to risk using the electric tumble dryer. Various lights were not working and one ceiling light was damaged. There was very little hot water. The lounge fire was missing as was the bathroom mirror. The sofas need replacing as they offer no support at all. The gutters are blocked and overflow in the rain. There was dog mess on the patio and a quantity of used disposable BBQs. The plastic safety barrier would not stop you from falling through it. The property requires some TLC and some paint internally plus a new lounge carpet. Two of the bedrooms smelt musty and one has a piano stored in it. Having said all that, its position and distance from the beach means that we would still stay there again.

Guestbook Comments

If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at Five Bays View.

The location and the views were stunning and the close proximity to the beach made it ideal for us and we would happily return another time. The interior was also very spacious, light and airy. There is no denying that the interior is a little dated but hardly detracts from the overall comfort and homely feeling. Prior to our arrival I contacted the caretaker regarding access and he was most helpful and the property had been cleaned thoroughly on our arrival.
