Guide To Gwbert

The scenic coastal hamlet of Gwbert offers incredible westward views over Cardigan Bay and the Teifi Estuary; it’s otherwise known as Gwbert-on-sea. The story behind the name tells a tale of a wandering Saint named Gwbert, who found shelter in a cave here, he’s now known as one of the five saints honoured in the local church near the mouth of the River Teifi. Although small, Gwbert is known for its slow pace of life and rich local history which you can get to know well during a stay at one of our luxury cottages.

If you’re looking to explore outside of the peaceful town of Gwbert, Cardigan Bay’s Heritage Coast and Pembrokeshire are within an easily accessible distance. Here you can explore the abundance of wildlife, vibrant scenery and an array of exciting attractions that will thrill all the family.
