With its spectacular coastal scenery and unique wildlife, the Ceredigion coastline of Cardigan Bay is a little known gem of Britain. If you like hidden coves and secluded beaches, Cwmtydu is a short walk down the lane from Stable Cottage.

Llainfran lies on the southern edge of the Bay with far-reaching views to Bardsey Island and the Llyn Peninsula. It is the perfect base for exploring the south Ceredigion and north Pembrokeshire coasts. The rugged coastline is a diverse landscape with spectacular cliffs, hidden coves, smugglers caves and quiet sandy beaches; a refuge for wildlife but with a world of adventure on your doorstep. Explore the Wales Coast Path which links coastal villages, beaches and bays making this a haven for walkers and certainly a nature lover's paradise.

Dolphins and seals are frequent in the coastal waters within walking distance of Llainfran. Clifftop walks make this stretch of coastline ideal for dolphin watching, birdwatching or simply enjoying the fresh, clean coastal air. A tranquil escape from congested city life.

Pretty New Quay is a short drive away and is a popular holiday destination with its picturesque houses, pubs, cafe's and restaurants clinging to the sides of the hills rising above the blue waters of Cardigan Bay. The Dylan Thomas Trail in New Quay takes the visitor to many of the places either frequented by Thomas or believed to be mentioned in his famous play Under Milk Wood.

The larger town of Cardigan is not far away by car, its unspoilt, colourful townscape provides a rich heritage with a thriving culture of arts and crafts, events and music festivals, restaurants, markets, independent shops and a good selection of really great cafe's.

The Cardigan area is difficult to match for its range of coastal and inland walks, cycling, fishing, and coastal based activities from lazing on the unspoilt beaches to trying your hand at Sea Kayaking and Coasteering.
Inland the stunning landscape of the deeply wooded Teifi Valley is home to an abundance of wildlife including otters and is an anglers paradise, ranked as the best sea trout river in Europe.

Llangrannog Beach, just a ten-minute drive away, Here there are miles of tranquil, unspoilt coastline with secluded sandy coves, award-winning accessible beaches, towering cliffs garlanded with flowers in early summer, and islands set like jewels in clear waters with dolphins, porpoises and seals abound.
