A lovely property but now sadly in need of some TLC. Bath surface worn and rough, not very inviting. No covers on scatter cushions in lounge. Outside furniture not cleaned, dirty covered in cobwebs and bird mess and very uncomfortable to sit on. Patio area still covered in weeds, which we complained about last year, pots with dead plants, not a very pleasant environment to in which to relax. It was noticed this property is or was on the market has this had an an impact on the standards of this, not cheap to rent holiday let
Nyth Bran was beautifully presented when we arrived. The view from the lounge and the balcony off it were favourites. The house and kitchen was very well equipped. The garden secure and it was safe to allow our dog outside without fear of him escaping (he is a larger breed dog though). We had some gentle (not intrusive) contact from the owners whilst we were there which was useful. Short walk to the beach and coastal path. Moderate fitness at least required because it is steep in places.
Although very clean, I think the decor and facilities need updating, and to arrive after a long journey, we immediately had to go out and buy basics like sugar, tea and dishwasher tabs etc. One of the internal doors fell off on the first night. The owner responded quickly and it was sorted, but all of the doors need checked. A bulb blew in the week, tripping the fuse box, and there were no spares. It might sound peevish but at £1700 per week, the little things I mention might have made the difference.

Thank you so much for your feedback; we are sorry to hear that your stay at Nyth Bran was not a 5 star one, and that the decor was not to your taste. We have had lots of positive feedback from guests at Nyth Bran about the decor, so we are so sorry this was not the case in this instance. With regards to the facilities, the owners have had a brand new washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and oven installed within the last few years, but would love to hear from you in regards to what other updates can be made here so they can look into this right away, as they are always looking to make Nyth Bran as special a location as possible. Unfortunately, when you visited Nyth Bran there were still a number of restrictions and advice set out by the Welsh Government in line with their COVID policies, and so the owners of all our properties were advised not to include a number of items that would usually be available to guests, including some soft furnishings and welcome hampers including tea, milk etc within the property. The owners were, however, still able to leave some wine for your stay, and do hope that you enjoyed this! Now that these restrictions have been lifted, the owner has been delighted to be able to include the full welcome pack once again. As for the general maintenance of the property, this will often need to happen and although Nyth Bran's dedicated caretaker checks the cottage on a weekly basis, sometimes there are unexpected and sudden issues that occur, such as the issue you found with the door. The owner of the property did a 400-mile round trip to ensure the door was fixed and your safety was put first, and has assured us that all the doors in the property have been checked for safety and security. Nonetheless, we are sorry for any inconvenience this issue with the door may have caused during your stay. As with the door repair, if the owners were made aware of the problem with the bulb, they would have, of course, ensured this was resolved right away for you. We have spoken with the owners about all the points you have raised here, and they have taken all of this feedback on board. Guest feedback is incredibly important to us, and so we really do appreciate you taking the time to leave this for us. We very much hope to welcome you back to Wales with us again soon!
Because it was perfect for us
Rather expensive as just two of us, but probably reasonable for seven

Thank you for your feedback and 4 star rating
If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at Nyth Bran.
What a wonderful house equipped for every need with superb views from the balcony. Plenty of space to move around comfortably and not have to come into contact too much with our three teenage boys!! The 16 year olds and the 52 year old enjoyed go-karting (near New Quay) and quad-biking at Wild West All Terrain. The boys also enjoyed Oakwood Country Park at Narberth (like a mini Alton Towers). We have all had a great holiday and will definitely come back - especially as our dogs are allowed on the beach. They loved it - especially in the morning.
A very enjoyable stay. Best spot on the coast - superb living room - light, great views - would definitely recommend to friends.
We have had a great stay - lots of things to do and the house had everything we were looking for..
Beautifully presented, lovely and clean property. The bottle of wine and tea & biscuits were very welcome. The house is beautiful, comfortable and well equipped in a fantastic location.
All areas of the property were tidy. The lovely long living room had the 'wow factor' especially the view. All rooms were clean and well presented. Fabulous property with all amenities and great view ideal for coastal path walking. Great sun trap in back garden for relaxing long into the evening. Handy pub close by.
