The picturesque village of Cenarth in the Teifi Valley is dominated by salmon and sewin (sea trout) rich Cenarth Falls and Teifi River as they tumble through the centre. The falls create small pools through which salmon leap during the breeding season. Traditionally coracles were used to fish for salmon here. The National Coracle Centre is housed in a characterful 13th century flour mill on the edge of the river. The White Hart Inn and the Three Horseshoes serve good pub food. Light bites, fresh coffee, cakes and cream teas are available in Ty Te Tearoom and the Salmon Leap Cafe. Coracles Health and Country Club with a heated swimming pool is a wonderful place to enjoy indulgent spa treatments. Do try the jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms and fitness studio. Holiday cottages in Cenarth make a great base from which to explore the counties of Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and the beautiful Teifi Valley.
