Guide To Devil’s Bridge

Legend has it that the first three bridges over the turbulent River Mynach were built by the Devil himself! You needn’t worry that history will curse your trip however, as a local woman managed to outwit the Devil, leaving him in a fit of fury, vowing never to return again. This is just one of the fantastic stories set within the small village and is one of the reasons why the local series of walks, as made famous by William Wordsworth, is so popular.

If you’re not one for too much walking, you can enjoy the picturesque scenery from the luxury of the steam train, which runs 11 ¾ miles through Welsh coastline and countryside to the nearby seaside town of Aberystwyth. This offers a contrast from the serene and peaceful village of Devil’s Bridge with a plethora of exciting activities.
