Absolutely a quality cottage. Very well equipped, clean and lots of space for the dogs too. Thank you for the cake and flowers as this was a lovely touch. Quiet and relaxing.

A delightful cottage and so well appointed, the cake and flowers were a lovely touch. Steve could not have been more friendly and helpful. Hope to repeat the experience next year.

Once we stepped into this beautiful house we were amazed by the cake and wonderful flowers. The brook was also lovely and we enjoyed meeting the calves. It was a great location for getting to beaches and family. It as nice to have some movies to watch in front of the lovely fire. We found it was the perfect size, good for the dog as well. All facilities worked well and we hope to stay here again soon.

A fabulous week in this beautiful cottage. Everything we wanted and more. Thank you for the georgeous cake!! Great time exploring Pendine Sands, Tenby, Caldy Island and fantastic coastal walks, Amroth to Saundersfoot, Manorbier to Freshwater East and the Stackpole Estate. Barafundel Beach a must.

Little Brook Cottage is excellent. It is spotlessly maintained by the owners and every effort has been taken to make guests feel welcome and at home. From the homemade cake and fresh flowers on arrival to the well-stocked kitchen, it seems like the owners have really thought about what their guests might need. Everything in the cottage is of very good quality. The owners live on the working farm next door and were helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make my stay a happy one. The cottage is in a beautiful location and, although I was here for work, I was able to take a few walks along the coastal path which were stunning. We'll definitely be back.

As a customer who has two dogs needing a secure garden, and with a love of the Pembroke beaches, this property ticked all the boxes, and was better than some previous ones. It was a 4.9 star, as we would have liked a downstairs toilet (which is not practical), but this would have made it a 5 star. A definite candidate for returning (and we had sun every day, in November !).

Very clean and tidy. Very well equipped cottage. Very welcoming. It had everything we could have needed. Perfect for the dogs with the enclosed garden and driveway with plenty of space for them to roam about.

Andrew Pemberton - 14th August 2018

Quite location but near to lots of things to do. Well fitted out with all the things you would have at home.

Lovely well equipped, clean and comfortable cottage. Good location to explore the area.

Good sized rooms, clean and tidy. Lovely welcome cake! Bathroom could do with some attention , personally I think it let the rest of the cottage down. Not enough head room over the shower , and water pressure too low. Good that parking is on site and the gate can be closed after you

one of the best self catering, home from home cottages I have stayed in

Immaculately clean, very comfortable with excellent facilities.

Beautifully renovated cottage and so well equipped.Easy to access all the South Wales attractions and a lovely secure garden for the dogs. In the Autumn there were farmyard smells which attracted flies, but if out all day, it made no difference. Spring was better.

Property Description
Holiday cottage near Laugharne & Pendine sleeps 4. Two well behaved pets welcome
  • At the foot of picturesque wooded Cwm Curyll (Valley of the Hawks) this ancient architect designed farmhouse restoration (allegedly the oldest farmhouse in Wales) has been lovingly newly renovated into a delightful holiday cottage refurbished to the highest standards - a relaxing home for a holiday. 2 well behaved dogs welcome.
  • Patio doors open from the lounge onto the garden - listen to the brook as it babbles and chatters on its way past the cottage and watch the buzzards wheel high above the tree-tops.
  • The huge original inglenook with a log burning stove in the lounge makes this a very cosy and comfortable room from where an oak staircase leads to the 1st floor with its charming bedrooms.
  • This holiday cottage near Laugharne, set by the side of the front courtyard of a small dairy farm, has its own bridge spanning the brook and is completely separate and independent of the farm.

About the Area
Laugharne Dylan Thomas & Coastal Footpath
  • There is a newly opened coastal footpath within a minute's walk and Laugharne, with its association with Wales' favourite poet, Dylan Thomas, is a short drive away - restaurants, pretty tea-shops, craft and art galleries, antique book shop and a ruined castle overlooking the River Taf Estuary. Do visit Ginst Point.
Dylan Thomas' Boathouse and Writing Shed
  • Dylan Thomas' former home, the Boathouse, set alongside the 'heron priested shore' has been converted into a museum with tea shop, video presentation, book shop and a few rooms retained just as they were when Dylan lived there. His writing shed too has been lovingly refurbished.
Browns Hotel, Laugharne
  • One of Dylan Thomas' favourite watering holes, Browns Hotel has been sympathetically restored  and remains the hub of social life with cultural evenings real ales and good pub snacks.
The New Three Mariners, Laugharne
  • Sister property and next door neighbour to Browns Hotel this is a traditional characterful 18th century pub with a great atmosphere, real ales, good pub food and a restaurant.
Pendine Sands
  • 6 miles of flat, hard sand - ideal for buggying, windsurfing and kite-surfing and was used to stage 5 World Land Speed Records in the 1920's. The small village here has a couple of good pubs, post office, gift shops, a few cafes and restaurants.
Amroth & South Pembrokeshire
  • A popular family bathing beach, ideal for swimming and beach games and sits at the start (or end!) of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
  • Walk the ancient 'greenway' down to Wisemans Bridge or at low tide you can walk there along the beach. At the east end of the beach is a 16th century pub (home-made food and local fish) and at the west is the main village with another pub, shop and café.
Saundersfoot
  • Saundersfoot has a wide sandy easily accessible beach with lots of places to eat and drink near to its picturesque harbour.
  • Glen Beach is a quieter beach on the west side of the harbour - walk across the beach to Monkstone Point and Monkstone Beach beyond - as you walk the razor clams squirt at you!
Colby Woodland Gardens (NT)
  • These are fabulous gardens and a must for garden lovers and visitors - there is an open air theatre and family events are held throughout the summer.
Caldey Island Boat Trips, Tenby
  • Visit beautiful Caldey Island with beautiful unspoilt beaches, an abundance of wildlife and a whitewashed monastery where the monks produce luxurious products such as perfume, shortbread and chocolate.

  • Pet centre, zoo, funfair, theatre, woods, outdoor play and Folly wood country park. A great day out for the whole family.
Manor House Wildlife Park St Florence
