We loved relaxing with our chocolate labrador Josie in the peace and quiet of the countryside in this characterful property with quality fittings, sheets, beds etc. Very homely cottage.
The welcome pack was a lovely touch - lovely flowers, wine, milk, bread and butter. We especially loved its setting.
Llandeilo is lovely. The Cawdor pub is dog friendly in the courtyard - great for lunch. Food was first class in the friendly pub in Caeo.
It was a relaxed, cosy, comfortable holiday. A home from home especially for dog lovers.
Fresh air, countryside, long walks with our lurcher and exploring Carmarthenshire.
The house is beautiful and full of lovely things and best of all no neighbours except the sheep. Great location for exploring the coast and countryside.
We especially loved the big roll top bath with views. Beds are comfy with nice bedding and towels. We enjoyed the welcome pack. Our lurcher also felt very at home here. He settled in straight away.
Another holiday in 'Big South Wales' and a big country it is!
We enjoyed getting a chance to speak Welsh. We have been practicing since our last visit (watching Pobol y Cwm on S4C helps).
The beach at Llangrannog was memorable. It's just west of New Quay and pretty impressive. Also, for the most edible mood we went to the Mulberry Bush wholefood cafe and shop in Lampeter. Every bite delicious. Go early for lunch as they run out of some items early. Thank you for the welcome pack, the champagne and supply of logs ... all very warming.
A complete change of scene and pace after a hectic year in London.
The house is so beautiful and so comfortable! You've done such a terrific job with it - even on rainy days. Our 5 year old remarked "I liked my sleigh bed and my little brother loved the cuddly sheep too." It was a pleasure to sit in the house and read/play games/watch films. The farm was great fun to walk around too. and the kids loved seeing the sheep. and especially the red kites overhead were memorable.
The Dolaucothi Gold Mine was a day out we all really enjoyed; ditto Dinefwr/Newton House. We had a warm welcome and good food at the Dolaucothi. The staff were very kind to the children too. Also the Caio Forest is stunning and the pub in the village very cosy (piano, fire, pool table).
We will visit again as soon as possible.
Me and my partner stayed at Clear Springs for a long weekend, we were overwhelmed by the beautiful location. The farm house is stunning, designed to perfection and huge attention to detail. It has everything you could possibly need, it felt like home and gave off that warm home feeling.
During our short stay we had had plenty to do, within a short trip in the car depending where we wanted to explore. Plenty of places to eat out. I can't thank Michelle and Gerry enough for letting us stay at the farm and will 100% be returning this summer!!
Beautiful house with lots of character - exactly what we wanted for our holiday.

Thank you for your review of this peaceful country retreat, very glad you enjoyed your stay.
A lovely property, very well equipped. Wonderfully comfortable beds & linens.....and it is so quiet there, it can be hard to wake up ! The property is nearer to Lampeter than Llandeilo so I think the descriptions about the area could be updated . No mobile signal in the house itself but we could get one just outside. And the provision of Netflix was really welcome as we didnt go out of an evening.
