  • The Brunant Arms in Caio, 2 miles away, serves a selection of real ales and good freshly prepared homemade food. Popular with locals and visitors alike. The village of Harford, 6 miles away, has a garage with a small shop.
  • An ideal base for those seeking tranquility and freedom. Prince Charles too has bought a Welsh retreat in this area between Llandovery and Myddfai

  • Red Kites wheel overhead, buzzards soar on the thermals. Do visit Llandeusant Red Kite Feeding Station where you can watch over 100 kites and buzzards being fed. It is a truly spectacular display. A challenging photographic spectacle.

  • Caio Church is reputedly the site of the barracks which housed the Roman slaves who mined for gold at the Dolaucothi Gold Mines (NT) ­- guided tours from the end of May to beginning September.
