Guestbook Comments

If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at Ash Tree Cottage.

We've just finished our stay in Ash Tree cottage. My wife, our 3 year old daughter, my mother and I had a lovely stay. We've stayed in many self-catering cottages over the years all over the UK, from the Isles of Scilly, right up to Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Yet I can safely say that Ash Tree Cottage was the best thought out and best equipped we've ever stayed at. You have thought of everything, from stair gates, to emergency wine (not that we needed to use it!) and a lovely welcome hamper. The kitchen was also superbly equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. We also appreciated you phoning to make sure that we had arrived and that everything was ok. Despite the very autumnal weather, we had a great time exploring the local area. We loved the fact that we could just walk straight down to the lily ponds and the beach beyond.

A fantastic, well appointed and homely cottage. Everything was of the highest standard and beautifully clean - especially in Covid times. Homely , comfortable, warm and well positioned in the village

Thank you to Jackie and Steve for another wonderful week at the cottage. The owners have taken lots of care and paid attention to detail to prepare the cottage after lockdown and we all enjoyed the comfort and warm welcome, while keeping safe and well. Good weather gave us several glorious days on Broad Haven beach, not too busy and great for swimming. We also enjoyed walks to Barafundle (note one way system around lily ponds) - slightly busier on the beach and cafe and toilets open at Stackpole Quay. St Govans Inn was open for outdoor tables - book ahead if you want to reserve a table. Last orders for food is currently 7pm and indoor service is resuming from 3rd August. Olde Worlde Cafe in Bosherston open as normal. Hope to return next year - such a relaxing holiday and a beautiful location.
