About Foxglove

Nestled on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, just 5 minutes from St Brides Bay, this gorgeous 2-bed hideaway is a calming oasis away from the crowds of the coast.

The luxury 2-bed property is only a short drive from a multitude of spectacular beaches including Broad Haven, Little Haven, Newgale, Marloes, and Dale.

What's more, with it's relative proximity to the county hub of Haverfordwest and the popular town of Narberth, you are well serviced with shops and amenities, as well as excellent travel links to the rest of Pembrokeshire.

The pristine cottage, with its exposed oak beams and wooden floors, has been fitted to an exceptionally high standard. Inside, you will find luxury beds, Halo and Tetrad sofas, and a fully-fitted kitchen with quality brands, including Samsung electricals and Circulon pots and pans.

The grounds of this former working farm have been transformed over the last twenty years into a stunning country residence. Today, the site is a tranquil expanse of landscaped gardens, flourishing meadows, and fishing lakes, with an abundance of natural wildlife including butterflies, buzzards, kingfishers, woodpeckers, water voles, and many more.

Explore the farm at your own leisure with paths meandering through the meadows, picnic benches, ponds, and lakes. The largest lake is filled with a variety of mature fish including, blue, brown, and rainbow trout, as well as grass carp. Experienced anglers are welcome to fish on request.*

There are a number of designated fire-pits on the site, should you wish to have a campfire or BBQ.

While the busy world churns away in the background, life here trundles by at a more gentle pace. This indulgent retreat is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the gorgeous natural serenity of Pembrokeshire.

*Competent fly fishing only please with prior permission from the owner. There is a strict catch and release policy, so gentle handling and barbless hooks are required.

Outside
the cottage has a large Patio terrace with BBQ, pot plants, and climbers. There are acres of landscaped gardens, mature farmland, and meadows with paths and picnic benches. There are designated fire-pits for campfires and BBQs around the site.

Various ponds and lakes, the largest of which is filled with a variety of mature fish including, blue, brown, and rainbow trout, as well as grass carp. Experienced anglers are welcome to fish on request.*

Broad Haven

  • Broad Haven is a popular seaside village with a glorious Blue Flag beach and promenade, popular for both water sport enthusiasts and families. Haven WaterSports offers hire facilities for wet suits, surfboards, body-boards, and kayaks.

Little Haven

  • The picturesque little village of Little Haven has 3 excellent pubs serving food and drink and 2 tea rooms. The Old Boat house gallery has a selection of local arts and crafts and Little Haven Pottery 100 yards from the beach produces functional stoneware pottery.

Nolton Haven

  • Nolton Haven is a tiny coastal village with a 200-year-old stone chapel clinging to the clifftop, a village pub serving bar food and East Nolton Riding Stables who will take you on a thrilling gallop across the beach or trekking through the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside.

Dale

  • Unspoilt village in the heart of the National Park safe with a shingle beach & lots of water-based activities, including kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, and dinghy sailing.
  • The Griffin Inn - a traditional waterside pub with a rooftop terrace to make the most of the coastal atmosphere.

Marloes

  • Stunning Marloes Sands (NT) is a wonderful isolated beach with over a mile of golden sands. Close by is Watwick Bay, a favourite with the locals.
  • Runwayskiln - a remote cafe/restaurant serving delicious lunches, cakes, and coffee.
  • Marloes Mere - Home to a huge variety of birds, there are hides for bird enthusiasts to spot - depending on the time of year - Teal and Snipe, Marsh Harriers, Barn Owls, Choughs, Swallows and Swifts. A really fascinating place!

Newgale

  • This glorious expanse of golden sand is a hugely popular surfing spot. Newsurf at Newgale provides all the necessary equipment & surf lessons for beginners & improvers, by qualified instructors.
  • The Duke of Edinburgh sits on the seafront and serves good pub grub.
  • Visit the cookhouse located on the campsite for fresh pizza.

Druidstone

  • A small little hamlet with a wonderful sandy beach and a popular hotel/restaurant - The Druidstone. This weather-beaten Georgian house, with a walled garden, has majestic views across the beach and Pembrokeshire cliffs.

Milford Haven

  • Stroll around the newly developed marina with fashionable shops, cafes and bars, and stock up at the Quayside Deli while enjoying the nautical atmosphere.
  • There are a number of popular restaurants found here including Martha's Vineyard, The Harbourmaster, and Foam.
  • The Torch Theatre in Milford Haven has a cafe /bar and gallery and a full programme of stage performances and cinema. Check their website for details.

St Davids

  • A 30-minute drive will take you to St. Davids, the UK's smallest city with its stunning cathedral and Bishop's Palace, as well as a host of pubs, restaurants, and galleries.
  • Visit nearby Whitesands or Caerfai Bay for beautiful family-friendly beaches, which are extremely popular in the summer months.
  • Local boat trips (Voyages of Discovery) may be booked from here, around Ramsey Island to see dolphins & Whales and many seabirds, including puffins & shearwaters.

Narberth

  • Visit Narberth with its abundance of cafes, independent shops, art galleries, and pubs. We recommend lunch at Ultracomida - a delicious Mediterranean deli.

Haverfordwest

  • The county and market town of Haverfordwest has a range of amenities including banks, post office, department stores, supermarkets, chemist, doctors, vet and petrol stations.
  • Overlooking the town centre and riverside are the ruins of the medieval castle.
  • The leisure centre has outstanding facilities including two pools, a sauna, and a steam room.
  • A Farmer's Market is held every other Saturday beside the river. Excellent local produce.
  • Haverfordwest Golf Club (1m from the town) is a challenging 18 hole course surrounded by breathtaking rolling countryside.
  • The Skate Park by the riverside has a variety of challenging snake runs and half pipes for skateboarders and scooters. This is a popular attraction for skaters of all abilities and it's completely free!

St Brides Bay Water Taxi

  • Great for walkers of the coastal path. Leave your car in Solva & you are taken by water to your chosen destination, then simply walk back. Or walk the outward leg, make an appointment & be picked up & taken back by boat. Possible destinations: Little Haven, Porthclais, Porthmynawydd, St. Justinians, Nolton Haven.   • Pembroke Castle, Carew Castle & Manobier Castle are all magnificent historic fortifications in South Pembrokeshire, hosting many events from pop concerts, proms, living history days, falconry displays, circus days, knight school for children etc.

Skomer Island & Sea Safaris

  • Sea safaris run twice daily to the Viking Islands of Skomer and Skokholm and around Grassholm. Skomer is famous for its puffins which breed in vast numbers on the island.
