Decor needs modernising. Heating should be under control of holiday cottage renter not the owners.

Thank you for your comments. We have passed a copy of your feedback to the owners and await their response. We are sorry that there were some glitches and that you could not control the heating especially now as the weather is getting cooler.

Lion Rock is a lovely cottage in a perfect location. However, there are some things that require updating. The plumbing could do with being modernised - for instance the taps came on by themselves and there were all sorts of grumblings from the plumbing system. Also attention to detail is needed as there were rings missing from the bedroom curtain - minor I know but the curtains didn't close properly because of this. There were areas that hadn't been dusted for quite a while and were thick with dust . Also the shower curtain in the family bathroom needs to be changed as it had a strip of mould on it that wasn't very pleasant. Mould was also showing on the en-suite shower tiles. Don't get me wrong the cottage is great for lots of reasons and we had a fantastic holiday but we've definitely stayed in better maintained cottages before. Also for a cottage that allows dogs a vacuum cleaner is essential - there wasn't one so we had to sweep up our dogs fur with a broom. One other point is the view has unfortunately been spoiled by a concrete underground garage. Hopefully the plans for concealing it will make it less of an eyesore. On the plus side the welcome pack was very nice along with the biscuits left for our dogs.

Cosy, well-equipped cottage, close to beach, shops and coastal path. Wonderful views over the sea.

Rosemary Tansley - 17th July 2018

Perfect position for sea view, beach, pubs and restaurants. Didn't need to use the car all week.

C Vaughan Evans - 6th July 2018

Fab location, well-equipped & maintained, perfect for coastal walks leading to the beach out the back door. Only fault is current building works partially spoiling sea view. Owners very helpful & friendly.

Great to be on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path - walk on the doorstep! Thanks for the use of your cottage. Visited most places other guests have mentioned and enjoyed them all. Tilly loved your rabbits the most!. Thanks for the goodies!

The week has flown by. Mixed weather but glad of some sunshine. Highlight was visiting Stackpole.

20 miles to Bosherston car park SA71 5DR. Really pretty woodland walk around the Lily Ponds to Broad Haven South beautiful unspoiled beach. We managed fine and are in our mid 80's. Then drove to Stackpole Quay and clifftop walk to fabulous Baragfundle beach. We also visdited Newgale where dogs enjoyed bracing walks at low tide, then via Solva to St Davids and just further north to Abereiddy and the Blue Lagoon.

We were very comfortable in this lovely cottage. The view to the left over Broad Haven is fantastic and wonderful access to Pembrokeshire Coast Path and enjoyed walking straight from 'home'.

We have had a good time and will take back special memories. Thank you so much for the generous gifts of goodies we found on arrival.

We've had a lovely stay at Lion Rock XCottage. We had everything that we could possibly need and the extras were an added bonus!

We had a great time exploring the surrounding area and found Broad Haven to be a great central base. We would often visit different places and still be back in time for a few hours on the beach here.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Had a lovely week in the area. The cottage has a lovely view, with good access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and Broad Haven beach.

Visited much of the local area - St Davids, Milford Haven, Little Haven, St Brides, Newport Bay and Wolfscastle. Wolfscastle Hotel is a lovely place to go for a special meal.

Thank you for the welcome pack.

Lion Rock Cottage is beautifully equipped - even down to the binoculars on the bedroom window sill! We have enjoyed the comfort and the cliff walks and we thank you most sincerely for our stay here.

Again another lovely stay at Lion Rock Cottage. The welcome pack again a lovely addition.

The Galleon and Ocean Cafe in Broad Haven serve great food. A lovely walk is around the Dale Peninsula, fantastic scenery and beautiful secluded beaches. Another is Porthgain to Abereiddy to see the Blue Lagoon which is a spectacular sight.

We will definitely be back. Possibly for 2 weeks next time as 1 week is just not enough.
