We had a fantastic stay at Badger Cottage - the cottage was well equipped and very clean with stunning views. The owners were nearby if there were any problems (and there wasn't) and they were very friendly. We loved being able to use the hot tub too. We would love to come again, thank you for a wonderful family trip.

LittleEngland Beyond Wales

South Pembrokeshire is often referred to as 'little England beyond Wales'. The locals speak English, place names are English and yet the area is surrounded by Welsh speakers on all sides even in north Pembrokeshire! During the 12th century Henry I allowed a number of Flemish to settle in the area and they were soon joined by English settlers. The Flemish and English languages were similar at the time. This led to the extinction of Welsh in the area.

Pembrokeshire Coastal Path

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path - 186 miles of glorious scenery and fabulous walking - and Neyland Marina are within 2 miles of this luxurious Haven Waterway holiday home.

Footpaths radiate from the site of Stackpole Court, a grand mansion demolished before the National Trust owned this area. Clear azure waters and shimmering sands are the order of the day here. Enjoy a picnic on the beach then stroll back along the coastal path to the Stackpole Quay teashop for afternoon tea with freshly baked scones with jam and cream. Owned and run by the National Trust it offers a relaxing atmosphere with splendid cakes and refreshments.
